This isn't really in regards to Tengaged, just to life in general. The world is a cruel place, for many reasons, among them the prejudice, hatred, bigotry, and ignorance felt towards the LGBT community by some. As a proud member of this community I have, am, and will endure my fair share of this negativity. Some days, days like today when I have been personally attacked and made to feel inferior, it's hard to remember that there are those out there who do not hold such hateful views of us. Tengaged has always been a community that I felt has been accepting and welcoming. Here, we can just focus on the games and have some fun while we make new friends. It's part of the reason why I try to be as nice and friendly as possible on here. We all face enough shit in our real lives as it is, why should we have to deal with negativity in our online communities? I guess I just wanted to make this post as a reminder to myself and to others that understanding does balance ignorance, acceptance does balance prejudice, and love does balance hate, even if only on Tengaged. Plus if you believe, accept, and fight for equal rights to ALL people.
Which isn't that big of a deal, but hey, I'm pretty happy :) It took me long enough lol, but I did have two large chunks of time where I wasn't around the site. Anyway, thanks to everyone who helped, and the jurors for the votes :)
