Let's Predict The Winner --- Survivor 19 and The Amazing Race 15 Sep 25, 2009
imageSurvivor - I make the prediction right now that Russell H WILL NOT WIN. This is not Big Brother, not everyone is that stupid to fall for his lies. He will get caught sooner or later, BUT he WILL make the jury. Right now, my prediction for a winner is Jason, the black guy who can swim! He's a level headed fellow, very intelligent and I think he will be very strategic. He's my pick for winner. (just watch him get evicted next haha) I'd like to see Shambo go far, but I doubt it. That physical reward/immunity challenge last night seemed awfully harsh to me. It's really not fair to the girls or older people IMO.

The Amazing Race - I'm not really excited about rooting for anyone yet, hopefully that will change once the show starts. Maybe the poker players, but I find it very hard to root for people who are already rich or well off. Maybe the interracial couple, hopefully they have personality. My pre-season pick for winners are, sadly, an alpha male duo, Sam and Dan. Surprise! The good looking, athletic, young, alpha male duo wins! Book it.

EDITED TO ADD: HA! I should have read their bios first. Sam and Dan are gay brothers! Not exactly alpha males I guess. Still, I stand by my prediction.

Big Brother 11 Pre-Season Handicapping Post Jul 9, 2009
imageWell, the year has certainly gone fast! Big Brother 11 starts in just over an hour! Woohoo! So anyway, I want to post my pre-season handicapping odds and predictions, let's see if I'm right in September!:

Braden - Supposedly this guy is a suckster... he's a total douchebag and tool, but perhaps he'll bring the drama. He's an "actor" and you can tell he's putting up a front in his interview videos, so this guy is either going to implode fast with not being able to keep his douchiness under wraps or he could go far if he manages to act like a normal human being. 55-1

Casey - Insiders have said he's like Mike Boogie... that's enough for me to think he'll be annoying and will likely go pre-jury. However, he could be endearing, hard to say. 20-1

Chima - She's supposed to be a brain, and seems kinda normal. She could go far if other people emerge as threats. If she goes UTR, she has a good chance. 12-1

Jeff - A pre-season favorite of lonely housewives, a salesman looking for a showmance... ugh. I'm not sure about him. If he has a showmance, he'll be a target sooner rather than later. 8-1

Jordan - I don't know... could she be a bitchy blonde or a sweet small town girl? Hmmm... 16-1

Kevin - A stereotypical, flamboyant gay guy. They typically make the jury but get booted out 5th - 9th. 20-1

Laura - A bikini model... ugh. Self described as sassy, so perhaps she could be bitchy. 18-1

Lydia - A bisexual, nanny, Harry Potter fanatic... um, very interesting. I think she could be well liked and a fan favorite. 8-1

Michele - A neuroscientist, so a serious brainiac, I wonder how they got her on the show? Anyway, I think if she keeps her profession under wraps and pretends to be something else, she'll go far. However, if she flaunts her smarts, she'll be a target in the first few weeks. 12-1

Natalie - A feisty latina! Could they go with more stereotypical characters? Ugh. Anyway, she says she has no problem with lying and backstabbing. If she can get a solid alliance after the clique thing runs its course, then she could go far. 9-1

Ronnie - The nerdy guy, married... could be a solid alliance member with his smarts and a knowledge of past BB's that could be valuable. 6-1

Russell - Loud and brash? That type of person doesn't generally go far unless they get lucky. However, insiders say he's trying to be viewed as the nice guy in the house. Hard to say if this will work. 10-1

Mystery HG (aka Jessie) - UGH... could they have picked worse past HG's to compete? Jessie? Seriously? The good news is that he's going to go out the door pretty quickly once he loses HOH or veto in the same week. He had his chance. 100-1

This was really hard without seeing how they react with each other! So this post is basically a shot in the dark.

I bet my predictions will massively change after seeing the first episode and watching a few days of feeds and updates and seeing where the alliances are.

Big Brother 11 USA Latest Rumors and Speculation Jun 26, 2009
imageHere are the latest rumors floating around for BB11:

- Sheila to come back???
Sheila recently made this post on her MySpace blog: "Save Kitty's Life!!!!!
Current mood: sad
But, Kitty needs a good home!! She's a great dog! But, she can not be with other dog's!! I will be traveling for 3 months and don't have a place for her!! Please, Help!!! I have 2 days!!!!!!!!!!!!! Love Sheila & Mick & Kitty"
Coincidence that her travel plans coincide perfectly with BB11???
- There will be two "tribes" or teams and two different areas of the house, one for rich and poor, so one is luxurious and the other is bare bones. Each week the teams compete to live on the rich side of the house. This was done on the original BB in the Netherlands.
- Some of the houseguests will be people who have been in the house before... "The 12 House Guests who haven’t been in the house before will be sequestered on Sunday." from someone named CornerOffice on RealityBBQ (this person has posted reliable info before) So perhaps it is a fans vs. faves type thing? Or maybe there will be a Big Brother/Big Sister type thing, where two former HG's live in the house and act as the houseparents. Dick and Sheila???
- There is also speculation that the theme has to do with high school cliques... like emos, goths, cheerleaders, nerds etc.

So, what's true, what is just rumor? Cast to be released July 1st!

My Amazing Amazing Race Prediction Post #7 FINALE! May 10, 2009
imageSo last week was a heartbreaker, as we saw Kisha & Jen get eliminated due to urine. Very sad and a sad way to go out. This allowed the redheads, aka the Gingerbeasts to stay in it. The final three teams racing to the final pitstop in Hawaii are:
Luke & Margie (BOB)
Tammy & Victor
Jaime & Cara

Three pretty strong teams throughout the race, that on a whole, got along well and even had an alliance at one point (Luke and Bob and Jaime and Cara anyway).

Let's talk about the three teams, shall we?

Tammy & Victor - The Asian brother and sister team seems to have gelled thanks to an unbelievable advantage in that they had three legs of the race in CHINA! They just happen to be and know Chinese! They just happen to have traveled there recently! What an amazing advantage over the other teams! Was that really fair? Hmmmmm... Now that they came this far, they would seem to be favorites. At the final task, as it has been for the past few seasons, it will be a brainteaser/puzzle sort of task where teams have to remember where they have been, who got eliminated when and other things that happened in the race to that point and probably put them in order. You have to give them the advantage here, not to advance a stereotype, but Asians always do well at brainy things. So chalk up another big advantage for them. It pains me to say it, but they have a great chance to win.

Margie & Luke - Who would have thought that a 50+ year old mother and her deaf son would be able to make it this far? Margie is really something. She seems to find inner strength during grueling physical tasks which is quite amazing. Luke, though, the editing is weird with him. It seems they wanted to make him the handicap hero of the race, but his desire to win at any cost seems to have knocked the halo off his head. First, he initiates the first U-turn, which took out a very strong team. Then he has shown to be a bit bratty, even scheming and whiny at numerous times. Then we had the feud with Kisha & Jen. I don't know who to side with on that. It seems both teams did things. So, will the savvy and determination of this team pull them through to the finish line? Hard to say. I think it depends on who does the final task. Luke could implode on a brainteaser, he seems to get nervous and frustrated easily. Remember in Europe, when Luke had to figure out the Chehkov puzzle? He took a while to do that and almost started crying. If Margie does the final task, their chances will be better.

Cara & Jaime - The redheads have shown a lot of determination and tenacity as well. They don't give up easily, but they don't seem to have the confidence in themselves that they should have. The do have horrible luck with taxi drivers though and their tendency to yell and get angry at people around them, whether it be taxi drivers or locals helping with tasks seems to have made them the villains of the race. No doubt they are pretty good racers though, but will they have what it takes at the final task? Will they be the first female winners of TAR?

PREDICTIONS:

I'm going to do this SUCKS style, where I give my BRAIN/HEART/GUT predictions ---

BRAIN (what I believe will happen)

1st Place and WINNERS: Tammy & Victor :(
2nd Place: Luke & Margie
3rd Place: Care & Jaime

HEART (what I WANT to happen)

1st Place and WINNERS:  Cara & Jaime
2nd Place: Luke & Margie
3rd Place: Tammy & Victor

GUT (what my intuition says will happen)

1st Place and WINNERS: Tammy & Victor
2nd Place: Cara & Jaime
3rd Place: Luke & Margie

As a bonus --- Celebrity Apprentice finale is tonight... here are my predictions for that --- ANNIE DUKE WILL WIN!!! and Joan will call her another nasty name on live TV. Book it.

My Amazing Amazing Race Prediction Post #6 May 3, 2009
imageSo here we are at the penultimate episode of this season of TAR. We have the same 4 teams left as last week:
Jaime & Cara
Margie & Luke
Tammy & Victor
Kisha & Jen
We were left last week with Jaime & Cara getting to the pit stop first, only to find that it wasn't a pit stop, but a TO BE CONTINUED leg (as I actually predicted last week!). These TBC legs must be difficult for the teams as it is pretty much 18-24 hours straight of racing. Anyway, Margie and Luke were in second place behind the redheads, Tammy and Victor were in 3rd and Kisha and Jen were having monumental trouble with the swimming/diving tasks and were well behind in fourth place. This is an easy week to predict... Kisha & Jen may make up a bit of time and benefit from another team being U-Turned (shown in previews), but they get lost trying to find a clue box or task and this means they are well behind in last place once again... and this time they are ELIMINATED. Leaving us with a final three of Margie and Luke, Tammy and Victor and Jaime and Cara.
