The Amazing Race S28 Power Rankings (Top 9)

May 7, 2016 by dogesonrainbows
imageZach & Rachel, who were early contenders of mine, slipped up big time, but still managed to stay in, because Darius & Cameron fell into last place, and became one of the biggest letdowns of the season so far. I thought they could win it in pre-interviews, but they really crashed and burned miserably over the past two weeks. Kurt and Brodie killed it this week, partially due to their Spanish skills, while Tyler and Korey also stay toward the top. So here are some rankings!

9. Scott & Blair (Father/Daughter)- They were eliminated once and saved, but now that Darius & Cameron are out, they're probably the weakest team left. They just aren't built to win this race, and Scott needed the help from the girls' team to stay in this week. This is not a two team challenge, and they could be the next ones gone.

8. Erin & Joslyn (Best Friends)- They were pretty annoying in this episode, at first with the caves, then again with Scott trying to find bags. They are whiny, and probably won't be here for too much longer.

7. Zach & Rachel (Newlyweds)- I made two realizations this week: Rachel reminds me of Anna Kendrick, and their team just tumbled big time. But they made some very fixable, and learnable mistakes, and I think they are all around pretty strong. One bad week isn't enough to put them at the bottom, for me, and let's hope they use this to bounce back and become contenders once again.

6. Sheri & Cole (Mother/Son)- I still don't like them, but they were just sailing in the middle this week, so I think they'll be safe this next episode.

5. Brittany & Jessica (Instagram Models)- They have surprisingly been doing much better, and are even getting along with all the other teams. I like them a lot, and think they have a lot more to give!

4. Dana & Matt (Engaged Choreographers)- They have been pretty consistent, and their bickering was a little bit better this week. So, I think they'll stay toward the top.

3. Burnie & Ashley (Dating Gamers)- I'm liking them a little bit better this week, but they seem to be stuck at the third place margin, which is where I put them now.

2. Tyler & Korey (Best Friends)- My favorites did well this week, and continue to be incredibly consistent. I wouldn't be surprised if they won the next leg, but I have to give the top spot to the team who absolutely demolished this leg.

1. Kurt & Brodie (Pro Frisbee Players)- They not only speak Spanish, BUT their challenge consisted of throwing things (frisbee). They were golden this leg, and earned their spot in the top spot, and I was incredibly pleased. My pre-season picks are not disappointing, and right now, it seems to be a four way race for first, and they may be leading it.

Well, as I said, it's a four way race right now, but any of the underdogs can overcome it. I think the Frisbee players just regained their winner status with this episode, Zach & Rachel will really have to push it this time, and Scott & Blair are probably towards the end of their already second chance.

PREDICTIONS:

Going Home- Scott & Blair
