I still think fans vs favourites is more likely than coaches for a few reasons. 1)the last coaches season wasnt very long ago. 2) The rumoured players coming back to coach seems very unlikely. 3) Former players who know people in production (Derrick, Janelle, Rachel and more) think there will be more than 4 returning players and dont think it will be a coaches season. 4) the origanal theory was about half the cast would be returning players and some newer spoilers are saying "more than 6" people are returning
