thats always been a "What if" for me is the final 8 of Panama when that icon legend star Sally Schumann laid down and died instead of trying to get her previous relationships with Courtney/Danielle up and running and act as a free agent for as long as she could.
I haven't seen this episode in a WHILE but I remember Terry being all like "If we can get people to flip and vote out Aras I'll play the idol for you, Sal". I want to say that same episode Danielle or such considered how much of a threat Aras was (which couldve been edited in) but my POINT being, had Sally given like even 10% more effort into that vote she could've gotten Aras out (which would obviously dramatically change how the season plays out) and would've had a meat shield in Terry, an alliance with Danielle and Courtney, and Shane/Bruce/Cirie left in the dark with conflict with the other 2 Casayas.
Assuming f7 stays f7, Bruce gets evacuated and Sally becomes an endgamer rootable figure that people might actually be able to pick out of a lineup instead of her current credited big move being losing the La Mina snorkel as blonde girl #2
TLDR Sally couldve flushed Terrys idol and kept herself afloat if she gave a fuck
