Microwave on: Snacks at a movie theater.

imageAlright, i'm sure everybody is aware that drinks and snacks at movie theaters are substantially overpriced. $5 soda, $6 popcorn, oh but no worries you can save a dollar if you get them together. Bullshit!! I'm tired of theaters monopolizing my junk food, don't tempt me with giant pics of popcorn, slushies, and reese's pieces. Then charge three to four times what they're worth.  The worst part of the matter is, nowadays most theaters aren't letting you bring in snacks from third party sources. I think Americans need to take a stand. The idea is simple, pricing works simply on supply and demand. So when we go to the movie theater don't buy their overpriced snacks! Do everything you can to sneak your own in, or just do without...if you can(i can't). Thats the easiest way, but here is the dagger. Next time your at the mall, bored, trying to think of something better to do. Go to the dollar store and get a soda and some candy. Then go buy a ticket and walk up to the theater with your junk food clearly visible. The ticket guy will say "You can't bring that in here...", thats when we go off the handle. ^_^ Throw a fit, ask for the manager, whatever you think is necessary. Then go back and return your ticket(don't do it if you actually wanted to go see a movie or if you there is a chance they will let you in). They'll start thinking that they are losing money due to their policy on snacks. Will it help, will it make an impact for the greater good, probably not. But it's def good for a laugh, and it slightly reduces my anger.
