Happy New Year, but most importantly, enjoy it. Don't look at it as a year to sit alone in misery, or just be there. Go out, have fun, live it up. But the biggest thing I stress: Be human.
Go out, and change something. Whether you hold a door open for someone, smile when in the face of adversity, visit someone, text someone hello that you normally don't think to, maybe even check up on someone.
My point is, that being human towards others builds us together as a community and molds us into a society that cares. Not praying for our sports team to win (yay Bills/Sabres), or pushing someone aside for that last cupcake, or thinking in lustful thoughts or whatever. Change the world and while you make resolutions for yourself, make a small one to aid others.
As one of my teachers said to our AP class this year: "You know what i should put up on the homework board? Be human".
Have a wonderful New years and a great year overall! ~Mjpj189
