Transgender Fraternity

For those of you who don't know, Sigma Phi Epsilon is one of the largest fraternities in the country and has made history in the past with breaking barriers of race and sexual orientation, and today they made history once again.

I'm sure there are other sigeps on here, the only other one I know is mrkkkkyle.
Frankie Grande is also also SigEp.
Oh and Dr. Seuss!

Just thought I would share this with everyone especially with a lot of college-age and soon to be college-age people on here. Joining this fraternity was one of the best decisions of my life.

why wasn't membership open to trans people to begin with

Like a lot of other things, if your birth certificate says female, you can't join a fraternity (except for SigEp now), only a sorority. I would like to think a Transgender male who identifies as female would technically have been allowed to join, but honestly probably wouldn't have been voted in. Not only does this allow females who identify as male to join, but it increases awareness and encourages acceptance
