the point is being missed...inclusivity isn't KrisStory making a blog in Spanish raising an issue within the Latino/Hispanic community on Tengaged. Inclusivity would be a Latino/Hispanic moderator, like it was done with the Portugese moderator.
Like ok cool an American white man, speaks Spanish fluently I guess, lets make him the direct representative of all the Latinos/Hispanics on this website and deal with all matters that arise with that community.
Maybe I'm the problem, IDK it doesn't sit right with me! Let mi gente latino be properly represented!
I agree that there should be a .es mod appointed, but since there isn't one/until there is, I think it's good Kris is trying to fill in the gaps.
I think your point is valid, but the way you presented it is causing more problems, because it's not Kris's fault. I don't know who decided on the new moderators, if the old team did it themselves, or if Randomize appeared to weigh in, but it obviously wasn't Kris's decision, and he is doing his best to be inclusive.
I don't think he uses Google translate, and he is making a serious effort, and to my knowledge he has never pretended to be Hispanic, so I think his being offended by your original blog is valid.
this is literally so off😭 inclusivity is making opportunities equal. like what kris is doing..............
you are talking about diversity, and coming at someone trying to include your community instead of just preaching for a Latino/Hispanic mod without putting down another. weird take
I STARTED TYPING MY COMMENT THEN HAD TO GET UP FOR A MIN, THEN FINISHED TYPING, SO WHEN I POSTED THAT I HAD NOT READ OTHER COMMENTS ON HERE. SO SORRY IT WAS ALREADY ADDRESSED

are you moronic? how is it an equal opportunity that no Latino/Hispanic is on the mod panel? Even someone from .br is on the mod panel, the only one being left out is .es...
well you're giving full on illiterate😭 because inclusivity is covering all bases like how Kris is accommodating for .es
you are talking about diversity, the point you made in this blog literally contradicts the definition of inclusive. you want diversity. which is understandable
i'm high and have the time today so i'm going to write an essay here instead of doing something creative or productive
my take that no one asked for is that you're absolutely right to advocate for a non-white hispanic to be on the moderation team. more specifically, someone from the old .es community should be a moderator as they have institutional knowledge and experiences as a user that are unique and provide much-needed insight.
what is also right is that kris story is a good moderator and him being bilingual and being able to better address issue from the spanish-speaking community on tengaged is great! best practice (and what i want) would be to have that representation as well. i think that representation is perhaps more important than having just anyone who is fluent in spanish, which i think is the point you're making at this point. i am just pointing out that the best solution would be a world where krisstory is a moderator AND we have 1-2 additional people who ARE non-white hispanics/preferably were active on .es. i just think the coming at kris was the issue
but i don't agree with krisstory saying it's not that serious! i think you would agree, kris, that it would be more inclusive to have someone from the .es community as a moderator in addition to yourself. inclusivity and representation is always that serious
