OK So, I saw HP 7 Part 1 today.  And I have to say OMG I cannot wait until Part 2 comes out in July!!!

I love the fact that they didn't start the movie out in the normal way.  They started out with Scrimgeour giving a speech, which was a bit creepy because I kept thinking of Davey Jones the entire time, especially with the zoomed-in facial expressions that he was given.

We then watch as Hermione Obilterates any memory of herself out of her parent's minds, to protect them.  Then the Order comes to whisk Harry away, with Fred, George, Ron, Hermione, Fleur, and Mundungus being 6 fake Potters...which is pretty funny seeing Harry in Fleur's clothes proclaiming "Don't look at me, I'm hideous" to Bill.  They take off, however, they're attacked...and the fight scene was incredible.  It took place in tunnels and the sky of London...and then the part where Harry's wand shot out golden flames at Voldemort was outstanding.  Of course, we find that Mad-Eye is dead and that George has lost an ear.

The wedding of Bill & Fleur (and the preparations of it) were amazing, especially with Ginny and Harry sneaking a kiss then George walking in, bandaged up sticking a straw (I think) in his left ear hole.  It was a nice scene, even with the conversation with Elphias Dodge and Auntie Muriel (who was portrayed well).

The next thing we get to is Harry, Ron, and Hermione runnig away after the Ministry falls, and then the attack at the diner...which was a cool scene, especially as Hermione uses Obilterate again on the Death Eater.

I like how they showed Sirius' and Regulus' rooms, but I do wish they showed the letter.  I was kind of hoping for that.  I do like that Kreacher wasn't so hateful nor so pitiful when the trio asks him about the locket.  I loved when Dobby helped Kreacher bring Mundungus to Grimmauld Place, it added a bit of fun, especially seeing his red tennis shoes.

So, the next we see is them sneaking into the Ministry...which was pretty awesome with the stunnings and the attempt to get into the Ministry.  I loved how they portrayed the Decoy Detonators....that was fun to watch.  It was even funny seeing Ron come back into the elevator sopping wet and not recognizing Harry.  Then, I loved how as the Polyjuice Potion was wearing off Harry, he attacked Umbridge and then as the trio was escaping how Yaxley came and tagged along.  It was pretty neat.

With the next few scenes it went from exciting to a bit boring as they tended to Ron and his splinching and then trying to find more horcruxes...which leads to Ron's outburst and his departure, which was done well.  Then Harry and Hermione travel to Godric's Hollow, which was done beautifully.  I love how they focused on the graveyard first then before visiting Bathilda's house, they see Harry's parent's ruined house.

The whole scene with Bathilda seemed creepy but eww when Nagini came out of Bathilda's body.  I jumped when Nagini attacked back from being blasted downstairs.  Then, when they escaped, I love how they brought in the Doe Patronus and the whole scene of the discovery of the Gryffindor's sword and Ron's return and saving of Harry.

The next bit, with the Horcrux Harry and Hermione was pretty awesome with them trying to take over Ron's mind and heart.  I thought the actual destruction of the Horcrux seemed a bit off...anywaysthe next we see is Xenophilius Lovegood's house where we see the Tale of the Three Brothers.

I was wondering how they were going to do this scene...and had my doubts because I feared they were going to just read the story, but they surprised me by actually doing an animation of the story...which was done quite well.  Since I didn't see anything about an Enrupment Horn at first, I was worrying about how Lovegood's house was going to be blown apart.  My question was answered two minutes later when Lovegood said the Tabooed Voldemort and then the Death Eaters start blowing apart the house.  Loved it.

I also loved how the Snatchers were almost waiting for the trio after their escape from Xenophilius' house.  I did get a bit dizzy watching the chase that ensued, but loved how much effort they put into Harry's stinging hex to his face.  I did love how Bellatrix freaked out when she saw the sword of Gryffindor and then toyed around with Hermione.  I even loved Dobby's "I'll meet you upstairs in precisely 10 seconds."  However, I do hate that Dobby was the one who apparently killed Pettigrew instead of Harry reminding Pettigrew that Harry had saved him 3 years prior, which causes Pettigrew's hand to choke him to death.

I love how Dobby crashed the chandelier almost on Bellatrix...that was funny when he was giving his "I am a free elf, and I'm protecting Harry Potter", which causes Bellatrix to throw her dagger at the Disapparating figures hoping to hit one of them.  I do love how her face goes from "I hope it goes" to, as its dissapearing, "Oh, yes!  I hope it hits that elf."  We then land at Fleur & Bill's where we find that OH NO!  Dobby is dying!  I teared up at that point because it was very sad, even with me knowing that it was coming.  I do love how it ended with Voldemort taking the Elder Wand from Dumbledore.

Overall, I loved how they stuck to the plot of the 7th book for the most part.  It really made me want to time warp to July to see the 2nd part.  I encourage all of you to see it. :)

Sorry this was a REALLY long, but I wanted to give every bit of detail that I could remember.  Post what your favorite scenes were if you had seen in...or if you haven't which scenes you can't wait to see.

They're getting darker and sadder and less magical for me... Still good though.
