An update on that smart ass kid from yesterday: Today he literally only spoke the two times I called on him in class. I found out from a group working on a project after school that his mom told him if she ever hears about him saying even one word outside of answering a question I ask him, she's taking his car away permanently.
I get a strange delight out of this. JUST A LESSON... don't scream, curse, and threaten your teacher, or you're going to be walking.
