Reaping day… A day of glory for some, and misery for others. A life changing day for 24 families. For some, such as Districts 1, 2, and 4, It's an honor to get their names called out. They see it as the ability to represent their district in the Hunger Games. For some of the other tributes, such as the ones from smaller districts such as 10, 11, and 12, who don't stand a chance, it is a day of mourning. Today celebrates the 59th annual Hunger Games. Everyone is tuned into the televisions in the main square of each district. Let's tune into District 1:
"Hello Hello! And welcome, to the 59th annual Hunger Games" Gloria Heath walks over to the glass bowl which holds the names. "Ladies first" She says. She reaches into the bowl and searches around for a second then pulls out a name. "Ashley!" Gloria shouts with a loud booming voice. You hear a huge cheer from the audience as Ashley trots onto the stage. "And now for the boys!" She walks over to the boys end and grabs the paper on the very bottom of the bowl. She reads it loud and clearly. "Scotty!" You hear a roar from a group of guys as Scotty runs onto the stage and starts pumping up the crowd. "Here are you district representatives from District One!"
"Well, there you have it Panem, Your District representa….."
The TV's across the nation shut off. As the mad scrambling begins, the peacekeepers are trying to keep things in order, but the districts are beginning to riot. Hay barrels are flying across the whole town square. You can hear gunshots in the background of District 11. No one knows what to do, and everything has gone crazy. After 20 minutes of trying to start an uprising, The TV's spark back on and the Peacekeepers regain control. The announcers, Fred Jackson and Clavia Upsen, remain where they left off.
"Due to technical difficulties, we will announce the tributes on air, instead of reaping. The Tributes from District 2 are: Lauren and Bine. From District 3 we have: Shanequia and Chibi. Representing District Four we have Adelaide and Fin. Coming out of District 5 we see: Nat and Anthony. From District 6: Winnie and Jabes. Michonee and Josh represent district 7. Coming out of District 8: Azaria and Osiris. From District 9 we see our youngest tribute Chloe as well as Melih. District 10's representatives are: Maxine and Mykel. Coming out of District 11 is: Jojo and Andrew. Finally, from District 12 we see: Jess and Ewan.
"These are your tributes Panem. We hope to have yet another brilliant year of the Games. May the odds be ever in your favor."

I…. I was chosen. I can't believe it. I begin to pass out but my friend Jessica catches me. I just can't believe it. I'm escorted onto the stage by Peacekeepers and I have to shake hands with my fellow tribute Jabes. I'm taken into a small room where I'm allowed to say the goodbyes to my family and close friends. It was all too much to process. My mom comes into the room and throws her arms around me. I just wanted to freeze this moment forever. Her warm embraces won't be able to comfort me when I'm inside the arena. We don't talk, just hug. As the peacekeepers take her away, I blow her one last kiss and try and say "I love you" but nothing came out……

Finally!!! A chance to prove myself. They make me shake hands with Ashley, my fellow tribute who I don't mind at all, and then I'm forced to go into a room and say my goodbyes. It's pretty pathetic. The last one leaves and I'm ready to jump on this train and head for the capitol.
Chloe: (9)
"Why me? Why me? That's all I'm asking!" 2 votes out of hundreds and of course mine gets selected. I know I'm going to die before the bloodbath is even over. I see it every year the youngest tribute is always the first to die. Why did they have to select me. I only have one visitor, and it's my oldest sister Julia. She hugs me and prays with me and right as she says "Amen" the peacekeepers drag her out. I cry out but she's already too far gone. I begin to board the train and set off…

"For District 5, I need to win this for District 5" is the last words I say to my wonderful Dad that I will love forever. It doesn't end here Dad." He hugs me and I set off on my new adventure.
Chapter 2: Training
All of the tributes are now on the train, headed to the capitol. Now is their time to meet their mentors and their fellow tribute from their district. This is the time that the mentors lay down strategy and inform the tributes of all the things that are to come. Every games are different, so the mentors can't cover what the arena will be like, but they can lay down basic guidelines.
Mentors are trying to get a feel for what every tribute can do, as well as looking at potential allies, threats, and also weaklings. Every mentor, as well as tribute has their own strategy coming into the games, and they need to learn how to properly execute everything they need. When the tributes arrive at the capitol, the first day of training begins.
There are assorted weapons, as well as survival kits set up around the training room. For the first two training sessions it is all the tributes together, the third, is one on one with the game makers.
Ashley: (1)
Hands down my best weapon is an axe, and I'm going to show that off right away. Who cares about other people learning what my best weapon is? They're all going to die in a matter of days anyway. Might as well get the most out of it while I can. Scotty and I both work together for the building fire station as well as Archery. Us Careers have to stick together, but he's my closest ally.

I am so screwed…. I don't stand a chance at winning in this arena. Everyone is 3 times my size and can shoot a bow 60 yards as appose to my 6 feet. I know my best chance at staying alive in this arena is to get all the boys on my side. I think my first target is Osiris….
Fin: (4)
If those Careers think that I will be on their side just because I'm from District 4 then they're crazy. I'm loyal to one person in this game and that's myself. Sure I might make allies along the way but there is no way I'm sticking with them. My best weapon is a sword but that might be to difficult of a weapon to get in the cornucopia so it looks like knives will have to do.

Ah yes I'm the girl from "The coal district" Everyone overlooks me, and I don't blame them. District 12 doesn't have the best history. I like being the underdog in this equation. I pick up a dagger and hit a dummy right in the heart. "That's how you do it!" I said to the boy from district 4. Then I walked off. I've got these games.
The second day has arrive in the training. So far, the game makers have been impressed by Scotty, Ashley, Brine, and Azaria. Brine and Lauren are now teamed with Josh and Michonne. They both like each other but it might be hard seeing as Brine and Lauren are careers. Nat caught Osiris and Azaria's eyes and they are now teammates. Maxine and Andrew also allied. District 3, 6, and 12 are looking to team with each other.

I met Andrew and he's really cool. I think we can be a great dynamic duo in this game if he sticks with me. We think that we can own this game together. I hope he doesn't betray me when we get in there….

All these guys hate me….. They're all way bigger and way stronger. I think I understand the physics to this game better than anyone else though. I've got this if I can just get out of the bloodbath. Who knows if that's possible though. I've got a pretty bad cold. Things will get interesting though…
The individual evaluations have now begun. We will start in just one minute. Listen for your name, and do not share what you did with anyone else. May the odds be ever in your favor. First up "Scotty" Scotty gets up and goes into the room. Everyone is called one by one.

Sure I'm tough, but the game makers already knew that! That's why I showed my ability to camouflage, build a fire, and set snares. I may look all muscles, but I have some brains too! People are always overlooking me and judging based on strength.
Osiris (8)
Everyone is telling me they want me on their side, and I'm just not sure what to do. I have no idea what to do write now. I need to talk to my mentor ASAP. I showed the game makers my ability to wield a sword and also displayed some archery. I'm very nervous for these games to come.
Chapter 3: The Suspense……..
60 seconds, 60 seconds is all the time the tributes had left before being lifted into the arena. Thoughts are barreling through all of their minds and its overwhelming them. What will the map be like? Who will stick by who? What weapons will there be? There are so many thoughts, and they will all be answered in just 60 seconds ……….. At 30 seconds all the tributes will be lifted into the arena and gain their first look into the arena.

59…58…57 All I have left is 57 seconds. My stylist is with me trying to calm my nerves, but I have none. I'm ready to go in and fight. I'm not afraid to face what's going on. Let's show Panem whats up! If your afraid your a weak soul. I'm ready to show what I'm made of once and for all. I can and will win these games. I'm not afraid….

56…55…54 My time in the real world is quickly coming to an end. What would I do without my family and friends. I'm going to miss them all so much. There's no way that I can win, not with these tributes that I'm up against. I am going to die so quickly. I just want to try, to spark hope for those at home, and those to become tributes, that in District 8, We will never give up.

53…52…51 All of my life I've been trying to understand people, how they work, how they think. I've grasped the basic concept to life, but I've never quiet understood one thing, how I can miss one girl as much as I do now. I'm now being thrusted into an arena where I have to fight every second just to stay alive, without Jenna. Jenna gives me strength to do the unthinkable, and winning the Hunger Games is one of them. I'm not trying to win to prove a point, it's to go home to my baby. I can't imagine not going home to her warm embrace. I'll never forget the words she whispered in my ear as she was taken away "Be Strong Chibi, be strong"

41…40…39 Hmmmmm how do I approach this? Do I go in guns blazing and fight for an axe, or back off and grab supplies later on. I don't have much time and my mentor was drunk the whole time so I couldn't get any advice. I'll try and get in good with the careers if that's possible in any way. I doubt they will accept me. Oh well I guess you only live once huh?

Chapter 4: The Bloodbath….
The Tributes have now been lifted into the arena and are getting their first look at our very "Different" arena this year. Ladies and Gentleman we are down to 30 seconds before the 59th annual Hunger Games begins.
Maxine (10)
29…28…27….26…25 The first thing I planned to do when I first saw the arena was look for a bow, but the whole arena was so much different than I could have ever imagined. In the middle instead of a cornucopia, lies to stair cases, one going up, the other down. Scattered around the staircases are only 4 backpacks. Their has to be more upstairs I tell myself. But there has to be a different way to get up there. I look behind me to see a straight dark hallway, to my left lies an upwards staircase. Directly across from me I see a light hallway. On my right there is a staircase to go. I think I'm going to go down the dark hallway.

24…23…22…21…20 I can't go to the middle, who knows what could that could lead to. I decide to grab a backpack then run down the downwards staircase. I feel I have a shot if I can just get away. Almost time let's do this…

19…18…17…16…15 I have to get away as quick as possible. This small room will not favor me at all. I would hate to be the first one killed! I'm not going to give up until then though. I feel like the dark hallway is the best path right now.

14…13…12…11…10 I still haven't found any allies. This is not going to turn out well if I don't get a weapon quickly. I'm not teaming up with the careers, thats for sure.
We are down to 10 seconds ladies and gentleman 10 seconds! It looks as if Scotty and Ashley are the early picks to win these games, but preseason polls mean nothing. Let's see what actually does happen.

The tributes race in different directions. We see Scotty, Ashley, Bine, Lauren, and Adelaide run to the middle and up the stair case. Josh, Azaria, Mykel, and Jojo run to the downwards staircase in the middle. Andrew, Fin, Osiris, Melih, Winnie, Nat, and Anthony all go for backpacks. Chloe, Maxine, Ewan, and run to the light hallway. Shanequia and Michonne run down the staircase on the left side of the map. Jess and Chibi bolt up the staircase on the right side of the map. No one runs down the dark hallway.
Scotty (1)
Of course I was going to the middle, but when I saw staircases, I was a bit confused. Us careers minus the District 4 guy all ran up the upwards staircase. When we got up there we found all the weapons we could hope for. I run in and grab the best sword I could see. I pick it up and take it out of its case and it's pure foam. I threw it across the room and ran down the staircase and went downwards instead. This one had actual weapons, and they were all pointed at me….
Azaria (8)
I couldn't have asked for a better person to walk down the staircase then Scotty. I already had my sword pointed out ready to strike if anyone came down the stairs and it was Scotty. He was running with his head down and when he looked up it was a face of pure terror. He took 4 steps back, and the rest of us, me, Josh Mykel and Jojo all take 4 steps forwards. Then all of a sudden the look of terror wipes off of Scotty's face and he jumps onto the upwards staircase's rail then jumps down to the downward staircase. He rolls his ankle on the step but still manages to grab a sword and a pack of throwing knives. I was going to let him bully us around so I roll down the stairs and thrust the sword at his heart.
A brilliant attempt by Azaria but sadly she misses and took a heart to her heart instead.
Jojo (11)
After seeing Azaria die, we were so scared. We were all stepping backwards as quickly as possible and we see Scotty nod. Me, Josh, and Mykel all wince at the same time as we all receive knives in our back as we fall to the ground.
That's right Panem, the careers own all of the kills thus far. Scared straight, Jojo Josh and Mykel walked right into the knives of Lauren, Bine, and Adelaide's knives.
Nat (5)
Osirus and I both grab the same backpack at the same time, and he gives me a half grin and let's go. He then yells back at me as he's running to the dark hallway "Follow" I immediately trust him, even though I've only talked to him for a couple minutes in training. He pushes down Melih who is racing to the same backpack as him and Osiris grabs the backpack. He turns his head to check if I'm following and I am. We slow down as we get to the dark hallway and make a plan. I tell him there has to be some sort of trap down this path, and he agrees. We hide on the side and open our backpacks. In mine, I found 3 sets of throwing knives. A gallon water bottle, which was empty, and a flashlight. Osiris had a throwing axe. a blanket, and a flashlight too. We both turn on our flashlights and pick up the pace a bit, weapons in hand.
Melih (9)
After being pushed down by Osiris, I began to get up, Only to get pushed down again, and have the back of my head ripped open by a knife. She turns me over and I get to see the face that killed me. Ashley…….
Fin (4)
I didn't even know Melih, but when I saw Ashley kill him I was so done. I picked up my backpack, and just swung it at her head. She gets knocked out. I grab the knife out of her hand and stab it into the back of her head. I can tell that she's dead now. I hear Scotty yell "Ashley!!" I get up and run with her knife and backpack. Scotty yells at me "I'm going I run down the light hallway, and because I saw the lasers earlier, I navigate through them. Scotty isn't so lucky
Chloe (9)
I may not be big and strong, but I can still run faster than most people. I dart down the hallway with light, and I should've gone slower. Disguised on the path, were red lasers, which electrocuted me until Maxine grabs me and gets me out of the current. She leaves me there but she did spare my life. She cautiously moves through all of the lasers. I begin to get up and approach the lasers, but then I'm pushed from behind by Ewan and fall into the lasers again. The electrocution is too much and I can't keep myself alive.

I didn't mean to kill her, she was just in my way. When I saw her be electrocuted though, it took me back. I saw the lasers and started to navigate around them. I got shocked quiet a few times, but nothing bad. I saw Maxine in the distance and called her name. She didn't respond.
Michonne (7)
Me and Shanequia both ran down the downwards stair case and it looked like we were the only two coming this way. We both agreed to team, even though she might not be my first choice of an ally. When we get down the stairs we find a huge room which had 3 doors. In the middle of the room, a sign read "Lauren is from which District? Door 1=1 Door 2=2 Door 3=3 I know that she is apart of District two, but Shanequia insists its one. We walk over to door 1 and she opens it, and shoves me threw it. I've never felt so intensely cold before. I can't feel anything in my body anymore… The door closes and I hear "Bye bye Michonne"
Jess (12)
I ran down the upwards staircase, and the only person with me was Chibi. Not exactly the toughest dude in the world but he'll have to do. Doesn't look like I have any other ally's in this game. He seems like he's depressed inside. All he does is nod when I ask if he wants to be allys. When we reach the top of the staircase, we find ourselves in a huge maze. At the first sign, we get a water bottle that says "Press your luck, but don't get greedy" We run down the maze to find the next sign.
BOOM BOOM BOOM BOOM BOOM BOOM BOOM BOOM BOOM Go the cannons.
This is the smallest amount of tributes dead after the bloodbath ever. Hopefully the pace will pick up……………..
Chapter 5: Can you survive the night?
The Bloodbath is over, but that doesn't mean the tributes will survive the night. No one is ensured the night, and the tributes don't have any resources yet. Who will survive the night? Who will die? What traps are along the way? Let's find out!
Osiris (8)
Me and Nat arrive at a huge maze. We see a bow on the right hand side of the maze, and Nat begins to run and get it, but I stop her quickly. I tell her it's probably a trap so we go to the left instead. At the next fork in the road, we see another axe on the right, so we go to the left. The corner wraps around twice and we see a straight path and begin traveling down it. We see a sword down the path and are taken back for a second. We decide to go down this path anyway, and I go to pick up the sword. I realize it is just a hologram. The walls of the maze begin to slowly close, and I grab Nat's hand and begin running as quickly as possible. The walls are closing quicker now and we arrive at a turn. We keep running and we see the end of the maze. I run as fast as possible and I can feel Nat tripping over her own feet. The walls are smashing my arms now and I can see the exit. I'm practically dragging Nat now, and I dive to the exit. The walls close to her sides, and I yank on her arm as the walls completely close…… She made it through…..
Winnie (6)
I got a backpack earlier, and the closest thing I saw was a hallway with no lights at all. Literally pitch black, but I didn't see anyone else go down it, so it was my only option. The first thing that I notice is a bow, and that's my best weapon, so I had to go for it. I grabbed the bow, and begin felling very cold. I finally look around and realize that I'm in a maze. I'm beginning to feel super cold, and start running the other way. I'm so cold. When I run the other way, I see an axe, but I choose not to go for it because I didn't want to get cold again. I keep going and I find a lever. I pull the lever and the walls open. I begin walking down the path and hear talking. I keep walking…….
Andrew (11)
I went for a backpack in the beginning, and came out with nothing, but I found a knife that fell on the floor. I have to go down the light path because its the closest place I could go. I saw two people down the path but I figure I could catch them. They are all navigating as if there is something in the way. I reach out and begin to be electrocuted. Lasers…. I am thrust back and I lie there for a few seconds. I get back up and start recognizing the lasers. I slowly navigate through the lasers.
Maxine (10)
When the games began, the dark hallway was already being filled, so I ran over to the other side, and ran down the light hallway. I saw Chloe being shocked, and realize there are lasers. I began moving very slowly to get through the lasers. I hear someone call my name, but I keep moving. When I reach the end of the lasers, I arrive in a huge room. Across the room, there are all the survival resources you could ask for, but to get there, you had to jump across 5 hovering platforms over an apparent endless pit. I decide I have to try it. I jump onto the first platform, and it begins to sink, but then rises back up. I take a while before jumping to the second one. IT does the same thing as the second. As I'm getting ready to jump to the third, I hear Fin come up behind me. I stop before I jump to the next platform. He's just staring at me, not doing anything. I keep waiting for him to say something. All of a sudden I shout out his name as Andrew comes up behind him. Andrew puts a knife in his back and I see Fin fall to the ground. BOOM I begin moving to the next platform and I realize how good Andrew is at throwing knives. BOOM
Bine (2)
Of course I teamed up with the careers, they're my best chance to go far in these games. Problem is, we already lost Scotty and Ashley, and Fin ran off without us. Only myself, Lauren, and Adelaide remain out of the career pack. I'm not sure what will happen, but they're my team at the moment. Us careers decide to go downstairs, and find 3 doors. One is slightly ajar, and I open it to check what it is. It immediately makes my face feel ice cold, so I slam it shut. Lauren then reads a sign that says "Which district is Michonne from? Door 1=5 Door 2=7 Door 3=9" I then know it's door 2 instead of door 1. We all go through door 2 and we see Shanequia debating which door to go into, there are 12 doors in the room. I put my sword through her leg and I grab her around the waist. I whisper "I would hate to see this pretty face die in my arms" I then throw her down on the floor and put my sword through her forehead. BOOM
Jess (12)
Chibi and I find ourselves in a sticky situation. What exactly does the sign mean by "press your luck, but don't get greedy" At what point do we get greedy. Guess you'll only learn from experience. We follow the maze to the next sign, and it says "Are you greedy yet?" On top of the sign, there is a water bottle filled with water. Chibi finally says something "Go ahead, it's yours." I drink it all up. We decide to go to bed and sleep through the night.
The capitol symbol is displayed on the roof and all of the tributes discover who died today. R.I.P. Scotty, Ashley, Shanequia, Fin, Josh, Michonne, Azaria, Melih, Chloe, Mykel, Maxine, and Jojo.
I would like to apologize, I didn't realize I left out Jabes and Anthony. They will be included in my next hunger games series.

Chapter 6: It's not over yet…
Winnie (6)
I keep walking down the path as quietly as possible. I hear two voices, one male and one female. I take the dagger out of my backpack and clench it in my hand. As I round a corner, I see the exit to the maze. The voices are beginning to sound more distant. I break into a sprint to try and catch up to them. As I enter a room, I see a bunch of empty weapon cases, but no people. I look around the room and find an axe. I pick it up and spin it a few times. As I walk around the room more, I find that on the side of the room are two holes with track on them. On the left side of the room, there is a cart on it. The other one has no cart. I decide to get into the cart and I thrust myself forward with my feet. I roll forward for a few seconds, then the track runs out. I fall off the track and land on spikes. I have fallen to my death….. BOOM
Nat (5)
Osiris and I heard someone coming down the maze, so we grabbed all the weapons and got into a cart on the right side of the room. We found ourselves in a room exactly like the one we were just in, but with survival resources instead. Osiris and I both grab huge backpacks and start stuffing as many resources into the backpacks as possible. We hear a boom and we both turn around in shock. We wonder if the person behind us went on the other cart. It must have been a trap. Osiris and I agree not to use the other path. Osiris puts his sleeping bag down and I cuddle up next to him. He puts his arm around me and says he'll take the first watch.
Ewan (12)
No one saw me, but I saw them. I saw Andrew kill Fin and Maxine, while I was hiding in the corner. No one even saw me. Andrew went back into the light hallway to sleep for the night. The moment I wake up, I jump across the platforms as quickly as possible. I knew he would overpower me if we fought individually. As soon as I get across the platform, I see two people lying down together. I begin to back up but he already sees me. He springs up and charges me, axe in hand. I turn and start jumping across the platforms. He stops, it looks like he hasn't seen the platforms yet. I get away……
Andrew (11)
I hear someone run right by me, and it wakes me up. It's Ewan. I quickly get up, and start chasing after him. He trips and falls and begins to roll. I keep chasing after him in a sprint. I completely blanked. I begin getting electrocuted to death. I completely forgot………… BOOM
Adelaide (4)
Seeing Bine kill Shanequia gave me a real sour taste in my mouth. The way he did it made me sick. I'm thinking about turning on him. I need Lauren to be on board with that though. We have the numbers but Bine will kill us both if we don't do something about it. After killing Shanequia, we stayed in the same room over night. When I was on watch, I opened a door. I opened the first door, and I immediately felt intense heat. The second door I opened, had a room with weapons. When Bine and Lauren woke up, I tell him that the first door worked. When he opened it, I pushed him into the room, closed the door, and put all my weight against the door. Lauren does the same. I hear screaming from the other side of the door. BOOM
Chibi (3)
Over the night, I get so hungry. When Jess wakes up, we agree to go the next stage, which has two burgers. We both eat one. It feels so good to my body. I had never been so long without food before. I felt like I was good for the day, so we just chill for the rest of the day, taking turns watching. We hear three cannons throughout the day.
The capitol seal is displayed on the rooftop. We see the faces of the dead tributes from day 2. Day two has passed. R.I.P. Winnie, Andrew, and Bine. 7 tributes remain. Who will prevail?

Chapter 7: Kill or be killed
7 tributes remain, but there will only be one winner. We headed back to the districts to interview the family members of the remaining 7 tributes.
Lauren's Mom, Lucy (2)
We aren't at all surprised to see Lauren alive. She's a strong girl and will win these games. If her and Adelaide stick together, it won't even be a contest. She better win these games or it will be a disgrace to our family name. We are all rooting her on and we feel confident that she will be crowned champion.
Chibi's Girlfriend, Jenna (3)
I'm so proud of Chibi and all that he's accomplished. I know the will power he has, and I feel as if he can pull out a win in these games. I hope that he can, because I don't know how I would live without him. I can't imagine life without him. I continue to pray everyday for his safety. I know he's fighting for me.
Adelaide's Brother, Daniel (4)
I don't know why she doesn't have more kills by now. They would all be dead if I were in there. I must give her credit for killing Bine, smart move. She better win these games. If she doesn't stick with Lauren though, she'll be demolished by the lovers.
Nat's Brother, Anthony (5)
I sure hope Osiris is actually into Nat. He will be able to crush Nat if he is lying. I defiantly think those two can make it to the end. There are 3 couple and Ewan left. It will be an interesting final day. I sure am rooting on my sis.
Osiris's Sister, Susan (8)
I'm so proud of my brother for making it this far. I can tell he's genuinely into her. I just hope someone else kills her so he doesn't have to. I'm rooting on my brother and I'm hoping that he comes home.
Ewan's Dad, Jacob (12)
Of course I'm cheering for my son, but do you really think he stands a chance? He's not the powerhouse the rest of the tributes are. I'm hoping and praying he comes home, but I'm not counting on it.
Jess's Mom, Clyde (12)
I think she might be able to pull this victory off. I feel confident in her ability to fight and strategize, and with Chibi I feel like they can run the table. She's bigger and stronger than Chibi, and she can beat him in final two. Let the other pairs fight it out then take out Ewan and Chibi. Then BAM Jess comes home.
The sounds of trumpets echo across the arena. A loud booming voice can be heard saying "All of it, yes all of it is gone. There is a feast at the cornucopia. The tables will rise up in exactly 3 hours time. It will include resources, weapons, as well as food so you do not want to miss this. I'll see you there tributes."
Osiris (8)
The moment the announcement is over, I look around for all of our resources. I shake Nat awake and alert her of everything that happened. We decide we have to get to the Corn asap. I take her hand and we start heading to the cornucopia. As we're walking, I can't help but remember that we are in the Hunger Games and we'll have to kill each other in the end. I never thought I could like someone as much as I do now. I shake my head and just keep walking. I'll figure it out when the time gets here. We arrive at the hovering platforms. I tell Nat I will go first. I take a deep breath and jump onto the first platform. It sinks a foot or too and I am startled. It then rises back up. I reach out for Nat's hand and she gives it to me. I pull her onto the platform. We continue this until we get to the end of the room. We both breath a sigh of relief when we get to the other side. Next up, the lasers. Nat goes first with her hand in front of her. She climbs past the first line of lasers and motions me forward. I follow in her path and we advance our way to the end of the path. The cornucopia is in site.
Jess (12)
After the announcement of the feast, Chibi and I are stumped. We didn't have anything to begin with, so we decide to keep moving down the maze. The next sign we arrive at says "For one burger, go left. For two burgers, go right." We don't want to be greedy, so we both agree to go left. There is one burger sitting on the sign. We pick it up and split it in half. As we're eating I look down at the sign and it reads "That wouldn't have been greedy" The ground falls out from under us and I begin screaming. We're falling into a bottomless pit. I'm screaming like a mad man as I fall. My heart is pounding. I can't feel anything anymore. I take in my last breath…….. BOOM
Chibi (3)
I begin plummeting to my death. I manage to get out four words "I love you Jenna" As I'm falling I got as close to the wall as possible and manage to grab hold of a plate on the wall. I hear a cannon, and I know its Jess. She was a great ally. I begin to pull myself onto the plate and reach for the next highest one. I fell a good 35 feet before grabbing onto the plate. I see plates all the way up the wall and begin to climb. I keep telling myself "Don't look down, don't look down, don't you dare look down." As I advance onto the 7th plate, I look down for a split second. I pass out and fall to my death, not even awake to feel it. BOOM
Ewan (12)
The news of a feast was music to my ears. After escaping from Anthony I went down the staircase in the cornucopia. Of course, it was already raided, probably by the careers. I do find a knife on the ground though. I hear two cannons off in the distance. I can't believe I've made final 5 in the Hunger Games. I just hope I can finish. I don't know if I'll be able to though. I just keep waiting until the time comes.
Lauren (2)
After Adelaide and I killed off Bine, we were forced to work together. We lost all of our gear tonight and we will have to make our ways to the cornucopia to get some more. We hear two cannons go off, and we realize our chances just increased. A one in five chance to win. The question is, who died? Did they kill each other at the same time? What could've happened. All we know is that there will be two less people at the feast. We head back to the Cornucopia and prepare for hand to hand combat.
The tables rise up from the ground as the 3 hours are up. There are 3 tables. On two of the tables lie an axe, bow with 5 arrows, a full water bottle, and a pack of dried fruit. On the remaining table, there is a heavy crate. Let the feast begin!
Ewan (12)
I slowly begin to inch up the stairs on my stomach. If I grab anything right away, someone is bound to come after me, if I don't, I have no chance at winning. I look around at all of my possible escape routes. I see two people down the light hallway, and two people on the downward stairs. I know I can escape down the dark hallway, or the upward staircase. It will take me too long to collect all the supplies, so I decide to go for the crate. It's a complete wildcard of what could be in it. Oh well it's time to make my move. I spring up, and lunge toward the table with the crate. I grab it and am slowed down. It's at least 50 pounds. I pick it up and half drag half carry it to the dark hallway. I run down it as quickly as possible and arrive in a maze. I open up the crate to find a mace, a throwing axe, and food/water. This is better than I could have ever imagined. I put the throwing axe in my pockets, and drink all of the water. I then eat up the food. I jump up with the maze and I begin running back to the cornucopia. I see Lauren and Adelaide at one of the tables. I run towards them swinging my mace high in the air. This is my one chance to make history. I swing the mace at Lauren's side and connect. I then find an axe in the side of my forehead. BOOM
Adelaide (4)
I seriously just saved Lauren's life. She is bleeding like crazy though. I rip of a slab of her shirt to patch up the wound. As I'm doing this, I see Osiris and Nat come in and grab weapons of their own. I have to let them get it so I can save Lauren. She is really struggling to stay alive and I need her to live. I keep checking behind me to see where the others are at. I finally tie the shirt and spring into the action.
Nat (5)
I don't know why I didn't shoot while I could. I had the chance. Now we have to fight it out to the end 2 v 2. I feel that we have a pretty good shot. Me and Osiris begin to rush in to the fight………………………………………..

Chapter 8: What's a start without a finish?
Lauren (2)
I can barely breath as the mace connects to my side. Adelaide kills Ewan and she begins to patch up my injury. The pain makes me scream when the cloth touches it. The pain is so intense I can't even manage. Adelaide is saving my life, I should be so thankful. She keeps checking behind her back to see what was going on with Nat and Osiris. They are gathering the supplies so Adelaide has time to patch me up. I try to get up but am just blinded by the pain and I fall back down. I manage to crawl down the stairs in the middle of the cornucopia. Adelaide is going to have to do this 1 v 2…..
Osiris (8)
Adelaide is backpedaling then turns her back and flat out runs. I tell Nat to go Clockwise while I go counterclockwise to cut her off. I see Adelaide run fast towards the dark hallway, so I sprint to my maximum ability. I'm closing in on her. I reach out my hand to try and grab her before she can reach the dark hallway. As we're about to arrive at the hallway, she makes a sharp right and it sends me flying toward the hall. I slam hard into what seems to be a wall. BOOM I turn my head immediately and look around to see who it was…… I'm super dizzy as I get up to look for who it was. I'm praying that it's not Nat. Then again the thought comes into my mind of losing Nat. It makes me so angry at the game makers that I slam my fist into the wall. It makes my knuckle bleed like crazy. Then I remember the task at hand, to win the Hunger Games. I look around and see three bodies on the floor. Two are wrestling, and the other lies still.
Nat (5)
As I was circling around the Cornucopia, I see Osiris run straight into what seems like an invisible wall. Adelaide turns around and looks at Osiris, axe in hand. I sprint as fast as possible towards her and knock the axe out of her hand, which also causes my axe to go flying. We both fall on the ground and start wrestling. I try to pin her but she's my size and is just as strong as me. I hear a cannon go off and turn my head to make sure it's not Osiris, and it's not. It must be Lauren dead. As I turned my head, Adelaide shoves her shoes right into my neck, which flips me over. I try and get back on top of her but I can't. She takes her knife out of her pocket, and puts a big stab right through my left shoulder. She laughs evilly. I know this is my one and only chance. I wrestle the knife out of her hand, and she grabs my forearm. I put the knife in my fingertips and throw it as hard as I can…. She dodges, and I hear a moan of pain. It hit Osiris directly in the jugular. I scream and I can't feel anything in my body. There wasn't a cannon yet, I still have time………
Adelaide (4)
That dodge saved my life… I would've been done if that hit me in any way. All of a sudden I hear it hit someone else, and I know that Lauren died at the cannon. I knew the knife punctured Osiris badly because of how scared Nat looked. I leave Nat on the ground and jump onto Osiris. I take the knife out of his neck and stab him 3 more times to ensure him a death. Still no cannon, whats up? I take the knife and stab him one more time in the heart. BOOM There we go. Now for Nat….. All of a sudden I'm tackled by the neck and I can't breath. Nat has me in a good headlock. I'm trying to stay alive and I dig my nails into Nat's skin. She screams in pain and I feel her blood soaking onto my fingers. She finally let's go and starts tackling me.
Nat (5)
I'm fighting for Osiris now. No mercy now. I'm fighting for the ability to go home to my family. We're both trying to pin each other and all you here is girls screaming. I scream in pain and frustration. I think to myself that I have to do it for Osiris. This witch killed Osiris. I'll be killed if I don't finish her. All that I've done up until this point will have been pointless. We continue to wrestle for a good 10 minutes, then all of a sudden I hear the sound of water, but I dare not look up.
Adelaide (4)
Water is flooding the arena. We're both going to drown if Nat doesn't realize it. I muster up all my strength and throw Nat off of me and I yell "Look out!" I don't know why I did this or what my motivation to do it was, but I did it. I'm not sinister outside of the arena, and this may have been the reason I did this. The problem was, Nat was still playing to go home. She had the motivation to win this, for Osiris. What was I even playing for? I had the weirdest feeling pass through my body, I had no drive for life anymore. As the water reaches my shins I actually give up for once in my life. The water quickly reaches my knees, and I just lie down into the water. Mouth open, nose unplugged, I give up.
Nat (5)
There's a certain element to humans, that can't stand seeing certain things. Seeing Adelaide just lie down, kills me inside. I know it means a win if she does it, but I can't handle it anymore. I run over her as quickly as possible, as the freezing cold water reaches my waist. I reach down and pull Adelaide's body out of the water. She starts coughing wildy, and seems very dizzy. All of a sudden, I feel a knife go into my thigh. I scream as blood begins to flow into the water. I push her head under the water and hold her down as long as possible. I then feel myself be dragged into the water as well.
Adelaide (4)
I don't know what came into me. Her saving me brought back my drive, even though it should have taken it away. Well now its back and it's game on. We are both drowning each other as we fight to keep ourselves alive. I can't function anymore with the little amount of air I've gotten. Nat looks like she's still able to breath a little bit longer. I tell myself "No not this way"
Nat (5)
I come up for air and I can feel the water falling at my feet. I hear the trumpets go off and I hear the voice of Victory. The knife that killed Adelaide is still clenched in my hand. The helicopter's ladder falls down to me and I get onto it. Frozen into place I begin to bawl…
Epilogue:
I go home to a celebratory district 5. My family hugs and kisses me, but I'm in a whole different world. I can't handle life knowing that I was the one who killed Osiris. I can't accept it. I never will be able to accept it. This life is meaningless. I go onto the victory tour and say what I'm supposed to say, but I can't see what I'm supposed to live for anymore……..
Ask yourself what you're really living for. What would happen to you if you were stripped of everything you could ever love? What are you clinging to in your life for protection. I'm clinging to God in my life, and whenever I fail he's been catching me and standing me back upright. Just ask yourself what you're truly living for. Don't live life, just to live your life. Do it for something great.
