Happy to talk about any of these placements. These are always so subjective and kind of arbitrary, but I think it's fun if not for the sake of discussion.
TIER 5 - Either I don't know anything about their game or they probably played pretty actively bad
18. Sara
17. Abraham
16. Voce
15. Brad
14. Genie
13. Naseer
12. JD
TIER 4 - Seemingly at least average players who got a little screwed, so we couldn't really see their full potential
11. Tiffany
10. Sydney
TIER 3 - Games that are good, there is at least one thing about their game you can point out and appreciate
9. Evvie
8. Danny
7. Liana
6. Heather
TIER 2 - People who made mistakes and had flaws in their game, but also had very impressive aspects to their game
5. Shan
4. Deshawn
3. Xander
TIER 1 - Usually this tier is reserved for winners or people who just needed a challenge or two to get there. Maaaaybe the two best players on the season, but decisively the two best games played in my opinion
Thoughts? I was more thoughtful about who went in my different tiers rather than the exact ranking. And remember, this is NOT a player ranking, this is a ranking of the games that they played
Calculating the best competitor by weighing their odds of losing. For example, if someone is in an elimination and they win, they had a 50% chance of losing, so they would get 0.5 points.
Kailah and Brad get 0.9 for coming first in the daily. Derrick, Jordan, Jonna, and Sylvia get 0.7 for making it into the Authority. Everyone else besides Veronica and MJ get 0.1 for avoiding last place. MJ gets 0.5 for winning the elimination.
Yes remains the top dog on the men's side of things, but Brad, Jordan, and MJ are right up there in the top tier with him. Over on the women's side, Kailah takes the lead with her daily win, and is joined in the top tier by Sylvia and Jonna.
Calculating who the best challenge player was from season 41 based on how many comps they won while also valuing how impressive the comp win was. For example, if they win a 5 person challenge, they get 0.8 (80% chance of losing). But if they win a 3 tribe challenge, they get 0.33 (33% chance of losing) divided by however many tribemates were on the team.
Calculating the best competitor by weighing their odds of losing. For example, if someone is in an elimination and they win, they had a 50% chance of losing, so they would get 0.5 points.
Wes and Sylvia got the top spots in the daily earning them 0.917 points. Yes, MJ, KellyAnne, and Veronica got into The Authority, earning them 0.75 points. Syrus and Tina both got elimination wins, earning them 0.5 points.
In episode 2, Kendal and Yes got the top spots in the daily, earning them 0.909 points. Brad, Jordan, Jonna, and Kailah got into The Authority, earning them 0.727 points. Tina gets no points for Melinda's quit as the challenge never started, so only Mark gets points for the elimination win, 0.5.
Everyone who didn't get last place in episode 1 gets .083 and everyone who didn't get last place in episode 2 gets .091.
For the men, Yes is the clear frontrunner after coming top 2 in 2 dailies in a row. For the women, it's Kendal and Sylvia who are the frontrunners after their top 1 finish in a daily. Obviously there is much more to come and I'm excited to see how this season shakes out.
So this changed literally nothing about the boot order, but I'm going to continue doing this with different seasons because I feel like it could shake some up.
