You need 15 karma for yellow. Once you have that, go to the "Shops" tab and then find the colour level store and buy yellow.
Tip: Slow games are better for getting karma because lower placings get karma in these games, which only high places get karma in fast games. Furthermore, premade alliances dominate fast games, so it's usually a waste of money.
