this is for all my friends on tengaged i just wanted to let u know that u may not hear from me for a few days...my oldest son has been sick lately..he lost like 60 pounds in a week...today i went to the church to help out and my sons gf called and told me leighton was really cuz she was talking to him and he said he had to throw up and then he would not answer his phone for almost an hour...so i came home to check on him and he was laying on the bathroom floor in a pile of vomit...i had to pick him up and clean him then dress him and take him to the hospital.
unicornangel_32: the doctor thought it was apendisitis at first and ran a bunch of tests. found out he was extremely dehydrated...extremely under weught and that he has type 1 diabetis
unicornangel_32: they tried to stabalize him but they could not and had to air life him to santa rosa hospital in san antonio...picu...they finally staballized him but he is really pale and they have to check him every 2 hours..he will be in the hospital at least til monday. they did say it wasn't cuz of his diet r whatever but because his body was not prioducing the insulin that it should be. he was sleeping when i left and they say they want to try to take him off the iv tomorrow and get him to eat something then they have to get the acid out of his system (as he has a lot of acid in his system)..then they have some 24 hour tests they need to run and then he has to take some kind of diabetis classes . that is all i know for sure right now but he can use all the prayers he can get
