The New England Patriots' home game against the Cincinnati Bengals on Sunday figures to be an electric atmosphere, as it marks quarterback Tom Brady's first home game since returning from a four-game suspension. wholesale NFL jerseys

For his part, Brady said he’s “very excited” for the 1 p.m. ET kickoff. wholesale NFL jerseys

“I look forward to playing every week, and certainly, this will be a fun game. It’s always pretty fun to be out there,” Brady said Wednesday. “We’ve got a great crowd and hopefully we give them lots of reasons to cheer. We’ve always had such great support here. It’s just a great place to play, so hopefully we can make enough plays and keep them loud all game.” wholesale NFL jerseys

In 2014, Brady and the Patriots had welcomed the Bengals to town in a similar situation. The week prior, the Patriots had been blown out by the Kansas City Chiefs, 41-14, on “Monday Night Football” and Brady and the team were criticized in some circles.

That, of course, was the week in which Bill Belichick uttered his now-famous “we’re on to Cincinnati” line.

Then, in front of one of the most energized home crowd and with chants of “Brady! Brady! Brady!” heard at numerous points, the Patriots blew out the Bengals 43-14 on Oct. 5.

Brady smiled Wednesday when asked to recall that day, saying, “That was a long time ago.” He did allow that just as the Patriots were dangerous that day, coming off a tough defeat, the Bengals could be the same on Sunday on the heels of a disappointing 28-14 loss at Dallas. “They’re going to give us everything they got,” he said.

As for Brady himself, he’s doing the same for the Patriots as he continues to transition back from the suspension. wholesale NFL jerseys

“I think it just still feels like I’m getting into it. Even last week, just kind of working my way back, and then playing. Then this week has felt, Monday and Tuesday, more normal,” he said. “Hopefully that continues today.”
