The rise of Lady GaGa and may i just say she is my inspiration. She comnpletes my life and she makes me comfortable to be me. I love her with all my heart and her lyrics are music to my ears :]
Also if u lived in 2009 u would have experienced the panic America (and later the wholeworld) saw when Michael Jackson died suddenly from Cardiac arrest. Of course its horrible for someone to experience that i didnt particulary like him but i respect him and his family. Dirty danciong star Patrick swasey died too but more recently Britanny Murphy died of Cardiac Arrest in her home. Its so depressing espically so close to christmas and everything. R.I.P
Also alot happened in terms oe Europe. The Italian PM was caught have adultery with another younger woman. Recently he was punched in the face at a rally in Rome. Ouch. Haha.
Big Brother ledgend Jade Goody who was caught up in the race row that not only shocked Britain but shocked the world. She then caught cervical cancer and died. She died promoting the cervical cancer jab. She left behind her 2 beautiful sons.

I also loved the battle for christmas number one fought by the X Factor and the American born L.A rockers Rage against the machine. On the 20th of december it was announced Rage against the machine was the christmas number one.

Another moment in 2009 was when Israel started attacking the gaza strip. This cause many people in the west to take action and peace is coming along slowly.
An outbreak of the H1N1 Virus commonly known as Swine flu also broke out originating from mexico. Many people or many countrys overeacted buying masks and tamiflu. It is rarly mentioned in the papers or tv anymore.
Rio de janerio were chosent to host the 2016 olympic games.
