After a lot of attempted recordings and collaboration I have finally decided to perform Sweet Child O Mine by Guns N' Roses for Week 5. This song was released in 1988 and reached the US Billboard number 1 position. I hope you like it enough to get me through another week. I devised a long list of options for this week and had help with song choice from the judges which was much appreciated but nothing felt right when I tried to record it and I ended up deciding on this song. It is out of my comfort zone in terms of genre but I have given it a go. I really wanted to bring out my trump card of doing Sir Tom Jones or Elvis Presley this week but all my favourite songs of theirs were from an earlier decade and therefore hopefully I will get chance to sing these in the future! I was originally going to do "Land Down Under" but you guys talked about playing safe and needing a little more "umph". So I kind of went out of my comfort zone a bit with this. I think the end result is great so I hope you feel the same.

I was told this would be a good song for my voice but unfortunately I've been battling with depression of recent and didn't know if I could even submit. I ended up pulling this together though and I tried to channel the dark and haunting emotions and put them into the first verse. I hope you guys enjoy it. :)
