Welcome to the sixth performance show. The competition is really heating up, and you should all be proud of yourselves for making it to the top 8. For this round, you will be recording a song that is from the country genre. It can be any kind of country song you like whether it's the older style of country or new country. When you post your song, please also give a brief description of why you chose the song you did.

The mentors for this round are rdesch1 and Matthew09. I have assigned them using random.org. As always, your mentors are there for you and can be used as little or as much as you feel necessary.

I had to do Shania Twain, and this is the best one to sing out of all her hits! I changed one or two speaking lyrics as an inside joke, overall though I enjoyed doing this song!!

Man oh man.... so when Country theme was coming up, I was 100% doing I feel like a woman by Shania Twain but um... that didnt sound so hot. I really struggled to find a song this week due to the genre and my voice loss/sickness. I worked on making it my own too. This is def the hardest i worked for an entry, so i hope you enjoy!
I actually had a lot of fun doing it, but I am sure my neighbors did not!

All right, country country country... Basically every song I tried to sing was either too high or too low. And I really didn't want to do a ballad anymore :/
So thankfully I remembered this song I was obsessed with ever since Kellie Pickler sang it on Idol. It's "Suds in the Bucket" by Sara Evans. I wanted to do something upbeat and fun and this was the perfect song. I hope you guys enjoy and like happy fun time RJ :)

i only know a couple of country songs, its not popular at all in the UK! i first tried bless the broken road by rascal flatts and then i recorded songbird by eva cassidy and was persauded to go with songbird
so here it is, i didnt know the song very well and the karaoke sites lyrics were out of sync so sorry for some wrong words ect!!
