Welcome our top 12 contestants! Congratulations to everyone who has made it this far. You guys have beat out so many others to make it to this, and now the difficult part begins.

This week, each judge will be ranking you. The person who ranked last will be automatically eliminated and the next bottom 2 will be put in a public poll. Spammers will be penalized.

This round's theme is pretty broad because the deadline is pretty short. I will be putting up the remaining themes of the season up sometime in the near future. Your recording must be done between the date the theme was announced (in case you want to work on something ahead of time) and the date it is due. I will probably have 2 or 3 themes posted just to keep you guys in the loop and this way you don't record everything early.

THEME: Songs from the 90s. The song must have an original release date between January 1st, 1990 and December 31st 1999. That means that no covers released in that time period are allowed.

YOUR MENTORS this week will be any of the judges you want to mail :)

The deadline to post your piece in THIS THREAD is SUNDAY, APRIL 20th at 11:59 PM EDT! Good Luck everybody!

Okay here's the deal, I only had yesterday and I have today to record cause I'm going on vacation tomorrow so I'm picking songs that I know really well cause there's no room to make mistakes. So for this week I chose Hero by The Queen Mariah. Now I obviously can't do this as well as her, and this style is definitely not my strong point, but I hope you keep me around so I can pull out all the stops for broadway week!! I want to stick around so you guys can see what I do best :)

i decided on Waterfalls by TLC because this song has alot of meaning to my family and i just love the song to death, hopefully i did it justice, i probably didnt because of how ill i am again but oh well

also if you decided on like 1980's i probably would of had so many other choices lol, im an 80's kid at heart

Ok so this week was a really rushed recording seeing that I was in Florida all week and I didnt have a chance to record until tonight so Im really hoping this is enough to make it through to the next round. I wish I had more time but my voice is exhausted. We will see how this goes haha :P I did The Circle of Life from the Lion King. I loved this movie when I was a child and Elton John did a great job with the score. I was so excited to sing this song! I hope you all enjoy! It is a little rough but I did my best for the circumstance!
