PJ's Middlle Man

As we all know, Tengaged is a website that is dedicated to allowing its users to play online forms of Big Brother and Survivor. This is all well and good, but it can get tiresome, playing the same games over and over again.

Hence, group games developed new ways for us to play as contestants in our favorite TV shows. However, I have developed a game that I will have members of my group play. This game is called "Middle Man." There is no prize, only the bragging rights of winning another group game. This game is somewhat similar to Survivor and Big Brother, but astutely different. You will surely note similarities between this game and several other shows, but, as a whole, this game is totally new and completely innovative.

I will be looking for twelve to sixteen people to play in this game.  The rules are as follows:

In Middle Man, there are no Heads of Household, no Powers of Veto, and no eviction votes. There are, however, nominations. However, in this game, they are a called "selections." In Big Brother, the Head of Household nominates two people he/she wishes to make eligible for elimination. After final nominations are determined, every not-nominated contestant votes for which nominee to evict. In Middle Man, there are in a fact two selections when it comes time to eliminate someone. However, the way by which they achieve selection status is entirely different.

I will describe an example to illustrate how the selection process works in Middle Man.

In a game with twelve people, each player is responsible for distributing points to their fellow contestants, according to their desire for elimination. Each contestant must give everyone points, including themselves. If there are twelve people in the game, a voter would give someone 12 points, someone else 11 points, and so on and so forth until the voter gives somebody 1 point. The maximum amount of points that one can give out is directly proportional to how many people there are in the game. For example, when there are seven people left, you can only give out up to 7 points. If a player named Brett was voting with twelve people left, here is how the voting would look:
Voter: Brett
12 points - Amy (Brett most wants Amy selected, so he gives her the most points)
11 points - Jake
10 points - Mary
9 points - Marcus
8 points - Chris
7 points - Emily
6 points - Garrett
5 points - Courtney
4 points - Travis
3 points - Jennifer
2 points - Jackson
1 points - Brett (Brett least wants himself selected so he gives himself the least amount of points)

However, Brett made a mistake. If Amy is his target, he was correct to give her twelve points. However, he could have also given her one point. One of the selections is the person with the highest amount of points. However, there are two selections. The second selection is NOT the person with the second highest amount of points. Rather, it is the person with the least amount of points. This forces contestants to nominate carefully, perhaps giving themselves a 5 to attempt to prevent themselves from receiving the most or least points.

When there are two selection, they will compete in a challenge together. This challenge is called the Head to Head (HtH). The winner of the HtH remains in the game, while the loser is eliminated. The HtH will vary: sometimes it will be a poll, other times it will be a challenge. One thing is certain: everyone will know what the challenge is before it actually happens.

When there are two people left, every eliminated contestant votes for whom they want to win, just like a jury.

These are the rules of Middle Man. I hope that you enjoy.
