Alex:
First I'd like to say that I apologize that we didn't talk much, if at all. I would've liked to talk more throughout the game.
I believe it was out in the open for a long time that Harry and I were a duo. Our gameplay was very similar, but there were differences that could decide the winner.
Throughout the game, I didn't have many connections besides Harry. But that wasn't for lack of trying. There were people I tried reaching out to that just didn't seem interested in working with me. Fortunately Marto began working with me and Harry. He was a good ally until it seemed that he had too many connections and was a big threat. Harry and I had the same idea to blindside him, which we were able to do successfully with Harry's extra vote.
The key difference between Harry and me is that Harry won many challenges, and with Tris after me for most of the game, many votes were sent my way. Even though I received a lot of votes, I managed to stay in the game. Midway through the merge, I began to let Harry win challenges so I didn't appear to be a threat. That may sound like an excuse for not winning challenges, but I'll prove it. On Easter Egg Island, I found an advantage that gave me an immunity challenge redo, which was good for any immunity challenge for the rest of the game. However, I never used it in order to not appear threatening.
*My big move*
I would say my biggest move in the game was throwing the final 5 challenge. Yeah, that doesn't sound great, but here's why I did it. The purpose of this challenge was quite clear: to display who was in power in the game. I knew this, and with Tris gunning for me for most of the game, I wanted to earn his trust. I told Harry and Tris to vote me out. This way I would appear to not be in power and by buttering up Tris, I earned his vote in the REAL tribal. I even voted for him to win the challenge but Harry won by guessing the right number.
So while my big move wasn't flashy, it was certainly methodical and calculated. Feel free to ask any other questions.
