For those of you that do not know me, which is many of you, allow me to introduce myself. My name is Frankie, and when I am not withering away on Tengaged or Netflix, I am actively involved in the American Cancer Society and Relay For Life. As a matter of fact, I am excited to be able to say that I am going into my 10th year relaying.
This year alone, more than 1.6 million Americans will be diagnosed with cancer. 35,810 in my state of Arizona alone. with an estimated 600,000 cancer related deaths in 2017.
Through all the sadness, the American Cancer Society works not only to help fund research for cancer depletion, but also provides services for those affected by cancer, such as lodging for patients whose treatments are in other cities, and sometimes other states. Wigs for those who lost their hair through chemo and radiation therapy. And a 24 hour hotline service for anyone who may have any questions regarding their diagnosis, or someone who needs someone to talk to through their treatments. The funding possibilities are endless with the American Cancer Society.
This year, I will participate in my 10th relay, in a matter of ten years. Last year, I had the opportunity to serve as the director of a Relay For Life event, and this year, I am going as an alumni. My goal is $750 dollars raised by April 30th, which means I only have 15 days to get $300 more dollars, as I currently sit at $500.
In years past, I have had an overwhelming amount of support from the Tengaged community, with the following people below donating over the years. I am hoping to have their support again, as well as yours as we are the beauties fighting against the beast that is cancer.
From $5 to $50, your donation will help someone in ways that can make their diagnosis just a little bit easier. Tax refundable as well if my memory serves correctly.
