They already market a video game based on the CSI franchise; now, CBS is expanding its arcade to include games based on The Amazing Race, Survivor, Criminal Minds, Diagnosis Murder, The Ghost Whisperer, and Hollywood Squares, according to Variety. The games will be available for several platforms including the Wii, Nintendo DS, and iPhones, and are expected to hit shelves next year.
I hate that Tengaged allows outside prejudice from the beginning of games. The great thing about Big Brother and Survivor is that the participants are usually complete strangers and know nothing of each other. But in this game, it's easy to see if someone is a strong competitor by looking at their color or how they've done in previous games.
Now you may say that in Big Brother/Survivor you get to see what the other competitors look like and can form an opinion off of that. That's a valid point, but just because someone looks smart or is athletic looking doesn't necessarily correspond with how well they'll play the game.
The only good thing about being able to see players previous games is that you can better tell if someone has a pre-made alliance which I consider cheating. Tengaged should make it where if you've played with someone in the last 5 games, you have to wait for another game to open up. That'd help put everyone on an equal playing field.
It's the same thing with the betting process. You shouldn't be able to see who has gotten bets placed on them in the Rookies game. Naturally that person becomes a target. Outside influences to the game should be hidden at all costs!
Tengaged has the opportunity to be the purest form of BB/Survivor by not giving you any info at all about your opponents. That way, how well you do depends solely on how you form alliances and what information you give to your components. If you want to lie about how old you are and how you've done in the games, so be it! Every game should be a reset, but instead, veteran players are given a huge disadvantage.
