Mabosstiff is a pure Dark type, is the evolution of Maschiff, and has an alright design, alongside an alright shiny. Mabostiff is probably the worst of the Paldea pokemon to use in battles, but it does still have a nice attack stat and decent defense. More the downside for Mabosstiff would be its abilities and movepool aren't really as great as its other dog competition, although Intimidate definitely can still be good both in game and competitively, but also are better Intimidate users than this dark dog as well, so it just gets outclassed by others. However, even with all of that, you meet a certain character and then bam, the emotions start to hit you and you grow very attached to this dog. If that one character didn't exist, I probably wouldn't care for this dog at all, but it's because of that one character that I have grown to love Mabosstiff, and that's the whole reason I ranked the dark dog this high. At this point though, the storyline couldn't save the dog, and was time to be took out.
