A man and a woman (each deeply in love with the other) are walking home from a friends house in the pouring rain. Home is about 10 blocks away, they would have drove but it was nice and sunny when they went to their friends house and thought they would enjoy the sun on the walk home.

The woman (very self-conscious of her appearance) was rushing home in a panic because her luscious, long, golden hair was getting wet and her makeup was coming off. The man (much less self-conscious of his appearance) was looking better than ever. All day there had been a certain twinkle in his eyes which had expanded larger and larger ever since morning like bomb of love exploding in slow motion.

The man saw this moment as his chance and he grabbed the woman by the waist to stop her then reached out and gently held her hands. The woman ancy and confused asked the man "what are you doing can't you see my makeup is running and my hair is getting ruined in this horrid rain."

The man responds by saying "hunny, I would rather spend an eternity in the rain with you by my side, than a single sunny day without you." He then got on one knee pulled out a ring, with a diamond much too large to beleive he could afford it with the amount he gets paid, and asked "will you marry me." The woman, who starts to cry, making her makeup run even more, shouts ectstaticaly "yes, of course!"

The man and the woman then took their time walking home stopping every few steps to embrace and kiss, with the pouring rain flooding their hearts in mutual feelings of love and compassion for eachother.
