Hmmm....oh my god, i'd save both :)
But still it is a VERY difficult decision...but i'd go with my dog, because, well SOMEONE must know this person, they can save them, but if I had enough time, i'd save the person =]

person,I mean i can buy a dog of the same breed,but how would u feel if your family lost a member to a stranger's dog/cat id be pissed

The person, pet's can have much shorter lives than people... it might be sad but think of that person and their families.
