I was really surprised with how much i forgot and how much some of my opinions have changed! First, i am one of the few people who loves CI. I think it was a fantastic season. Yeah the bottle twist was dumb, but really i think if the merge was at 9 the numbers would have still been 5-4. Aitu would most likely have won the next challenge. I'm ok with the idol because people tried to flush it but Yul was such a great social/strategic player he stopped that from happening.
Things that really surprised me:
-Rebecca. Rebecca was an incredible player imo, she orchestrated Sekou's vote off in episode 1, she orchestrated J.P.'s blindside in episode 4. She played an incredible strategic game and I think her only downfall was that there were so many swimming challenges and that was her weak point.
-Jenny. Jenny like Rebecca is ver underrated. She helped bring the girls of Raro together to help oust J.P. There is something that i just don't really like about Jenny, idk what it is but Jenny was a great strategist.
-I forgot how much i liked Cao Boi and Flicka together :)
-I liked Candice more this time around. She was more feisty than i remembered and she was super strong in challenges.
-I LOVED Parvati! The first time i watched the season I was all for the Aitu 4 dominating, but Parvati was one of my favorites this time around. She was really strong in challenges, she was a great strategist, and she was hilarious. Parvati, even when she was in the minority, she was making jokes and was always smiling. I can see why she came back for FvF
-I HATED Adam. Adam was loud, rude, and nasty. I didn't like him at all. He was so cocky and when things didn't go his way he would have a tantrum. I wish Parvati would have been the last Raro member standing.
-The first time around I loved Yul and Becky as a pair. But this time around i wasn't feeling Becky so much. I mean I liked her, but I wish it would have been Sundra who had won the tie breaker. I absolutely adored Sundra this time. She was sweet, funny, and kind. It seemed like Sundra, more than anyone really appreciated the experience as more than just a game. One of my favorite scenes was when Parv/Adam/Sundra went on the reward with the indigenous people and their religious ritual and seeing how grateful and appreciative Sundra and Parv were to be apart of it.
Overall I loved the season again on my re-watch, this is the only season where i kind of like Ozzy, and it reminded me again of why Yul is one of my favorite winners in the history of the show. He was the first winner that I picked as my favorite from the beginning of the season. So yay cook islands :) #survivor
I heard Rebecca wanted to be friends with Sundra after the show, but Sundra didn't talk to her because they were on different tribes
