Well, here we are! We've gone through 100-51, burning through half the Pokemon that will be on the countdown. Now, we enter the Bottom 50, which means that the Pokemon will only get worse from here. I am bound to piss some people off, but hey, it's my opinion, duh! As always, those who wanna be tagged can comment saying they wanna be tagged. For everyone else, let's get this going!
50. Gogoat - We now enter the second half of this list! So kicking off the Bottom 50, we have the Pokemon you can ride on, but is good for pretty much nothing else. Seriously, about the only thing I remember about Gogoat other than that you can ride on it is that Ramos uses one, and honestly, I don't really 2 fucks about Ramos, so yeah. I do like how cute Skiddo is, so Gogoat is really just a gigantic letdown that had so much potential. This forgettable Pokemon was actually 2nd place for all of Kalos, which means there is one more Kalos Pokemon to go over, who we will actually be seeing somewhere in tomorrow's 5 Pokemon.
49. Musharna - Neither Munna nor Musharna impressed me, but Munna was cute, so I went with Musharna to be in this spot. Honestly, for a Pokemon as cute as Munna, I would have expected a much more serviceable evolution, but instead, I am left scratching my head with a million question marks. What is thing even supposed to be? Don't know or care. But it's just a no for me.
48. Cleffa - In Generation 2, 3 very popular Generation 1 Pokemon got baby pre-evolutions. Pichu was the cutest and evolves into one of my favorite Pokemon of all-time, Igglybuff didn't impress me quite as much, but it had its charms, and I do kinda like Jigglypuff for its humor. But then there's Cleffa, the Fairy-type that I really could have gone without. To be honest, I'm not a huge fan of Clefairy or Clefable, but they both had some pretty interesting theories, so Cleffa will be alone on this list. It's the least cute of the trio we got in Johto, its evolutions were the least impressive of the 3 evolutionary lines, and as a whole, Cleffa just does not hit the mark with me for anything whatsoever. RIP
47. Girafarig - For a giraffe Pokemon, it looks kinda cute? Sorta? Maybe...? But that's only like 50% of it because it is so inconsistent. It's tail looks like the plague and for the first Normal/Psychic Pokemon, this was a HUGE disappointment given how overpowered Psychic was in Generation 1. If you're gonna give me a giraffe Pokemon, do not disappoint me. It's a risky animal that could pay off when done right, and Girafarig just... failed.
46. Venomoth - Closing out the day today is whatever this evolution of Venonat is supposed to be. To be honest, Venomoth is such an epic fail that it just had to be here. Sure, it's Bug STAB is supereffective against the once-overpowered Psychic type, but Psychic was also supereffective against Venomoth thanks to its Poison typing, so that trait was effectively useless. Other than that, Venomoth is just a huge scrub, kinda reminding me of this song in a way:
I'm quite shocked to see Musharna here, I need I know it isn't the strongest Pokemon but I think I think it has a lot of good qualities. In my own opinion I think the design is pretty good but obviously we think differently which is allowed haha
