I see this all too often.... tengagers getting a lot of attention in a short space of time for various reasons.. then there comes a SUDDEN backlash and people start to dislike them. [there's a mentality to build people up to knock them back down].
Usually the tengager(s) in question join stars during their wave of popularity and not do as good as expected.. usually because the public are bored/fed up/sick of them.. who are some overexposed tengagers?
Some old examples I can think of..
#Druhhbby - she got built up, was liked by many different groups of people on TG, then one day almost everyone jumped onto the baby drama bandwagon and basically bullied her off the site..
Jenzie is good example of it too.. although she has the ability to flip/change opinions on her regularly... one moment she would be adored by all and looked at like TG royalty.. the next she'd be enemy number 1 for a small reason..
In terms of joining stars and being predicted to win.. there are PLENTY of examples where there's a shock eviction.. and imo, we shouldn't be all that shocked since I'm sure most of us are behind our screens clicking the evict button under their name, hoping to knock them down a few pegs as a reminder that we are the ones who control their popularity..
I think a prime example of this is JesseM
He started getting really good at games and lots of people liked him but once one person said "karma-hungry" everyone started revolting. I still love him tho =]]
I do not have a problem with any of them to just get that out there. I consider them friends and this is not a dig at any of them. I just feel they fit what your blog is talking about. It is out of their control but at times all 3 can be considered popular and in the favor of tengaged but if one joins stars, tengaged does a 180 and goes against them just for them not to win.
I mean eventually all 3 who I just named, will win a stars because of their name and their friends. I know vitamin has not joined but I do think this goes for him.
I think imthtawesom is the best example because he has made finals but not gotten the win yet. He is popular and built up but as soon as he joins, people turn on that popularity and I think feel good for not letting him win just like how you said "hoping to knock them down a few pegs as a reminder that we are the ones who control their popularity.."

i'm gonna join sometime in the next few months when i have time to actually play so we'll have to wait and see LOL but i don't think i'll do very good the first time
