I just listened to Rob Cesternino's podcast about the Top 30 Survivor Seasons, so I decided to make my own Top 5.
1. Survivor Cagayan
This is my best! Cagayan is arguably (even not) the best season of the modern Survivor era. The cast was damn perfect even supported by the evidence that there are 4 returning players for Cambodia in Tasha, Spencer, Kass and Woo. Every episode in the post merge were all blindsides which is lullaby to the ears and a sunset in the eyes of the viewers. Tony for sure should have won that, maybe Kass too I don't know I love her. But I'd love to see LJ back (huge LJ fan here, disclaimer) and JTia is hahaha gotta love the girl. I also loved how it looks like the game is controlled by Tony's alliance but it's not because he flips here and there just more flawless though compared with Kass' flipping
2. Survivor Heroes vs. Villains
Oh well, villains villains there is more fun indeed with the villains. The villains were being just villain and we saw some heroes become villains in the process. I love Sandra to death though I believe this should have been Parvati's season I don't know but Sandra making it out alive after trying to flip to the Heroes' side and getting doors slammed at her is force to be reckoned with.
A bit disappointed with JT's performance here though I still can't figure out why Candice Cody was there but I loved her in Blood vs. Water.
3. Survivor Cambodia: Second Chance
It's funny how they say recency bias does not apply in Cambodia because damn we have to give credit to this season. Jeremy was an amazing player though I still believe #KelleyWasRobbed . I hated Tasha in this season which is a shame because I loved her in Cagayan esp that 3-consecutive immunity wins but this time she was a plain coattail. Fishbach vote-off was huge, Joe's vote-off was damn sad (Watch his Ponderosa then hate me later), but the best vote-off was Savage's damn Kelley was a queen that time. The witches are such fun alliance to watch. I even appreciated the Kimmi move I think she's an underrated player too. There were some boring parts too like the Wiggles' vote-off and such. This is so amazing that I think Kaoh Rong will suck.
4. Survivor Philippines
I loved it in the sense that the fall of Matsing was very funny and the way Malcolm and Denise took out the other tribes one by one was epic. i mean it better be good if a character in Abi Maria was born. I loved the cast Skupin was amazing, Penner was amazing, I even loved RC for some weird reason. Amazing gameplay in Denise, one of the most underrated winners of all-time.
5. Survivor Gabon
I am surprised this was too low for a lot of people. I mean there are a lot of characters in this season. We got Kenny who I believe should play one more time but very unlikely. I liked Crystal. We saw the birth of Corinne and Randy. I loved the Marcus-Charlie alliance. Bob deserved the win. For some reason I really loved this season, it has one of the best intros ever though after the Marcus-Charlie boots it was a bit predictable with Corinne and Randy going next but I really waited how Kenny would make it out after the Corinne-Randy boots.

@Jetrock12 For some reason I'm not a huge Marquesas and San Juan del Sur Fan. Marquesas felt was a bit bland. I love Micronesia but it's not in my Top 10. I felt a bit like after the Ozzy boot, it was predictable that the girls would take it. I agree with Worlds Apart tho, it's a bunch of meanies and amateurs in there
