With the new mod panel now being activated, i thought i would make a blog addressing some of the issues regarding new moderation and various comments i might have made in the past. Like i have said previously, i want to be as transparent as possible and ensure that i provide you with full honesty with regards to the decisions that i have made and will be making.
1. How did i become a Mod/Why was Aquamarine not appointed?
I have been on this website for a hot minute, and never have I actually "left" the site. I'm not sure why people are saying i've been gone for years... that's not true. I haven't played games for a while because they stopped being fun once multis took over. I've always been here passively, even if i don't contribute as much as i did before. I made a blog stating what i felt needs to be done to get this website back on its feet again, and i assume rando agreed. We then communicated, and he asked if myself and Aqua would be willing to moderate. We both have a love for the site, so we both accepted. Since that point, numerous people have contacted rando and even left him "threats" (his own words) if he were to appoint Johnny as a mod. He therefore took the decision not to. I had no input in this, and I believe 2 mods would be better than one, as that ensures each report would be looked at from 2 perspectives.
In response to Bryan's post where he exposed the inappropriate messages he had received from #ilysuiteheart, i did retaliate and make a comment that devalued Bryan's own experience, and for that, i do wholeheartedly apologise. I do not and will not ever sympathise with predators, and i did publicly condemn ilysuiteheart's ban, and openly stated that his behaviour was freaky and unacceptable. My comment was insensitive to the situation and lacked insight. Furthermore, my friends list is literally compiled of skeletons... people i used to play games with when i was younger. This should not be a reflection of my view or values as i have not updated it or paid any attention to it in years, except from adding rando as a friend when he added me. I have since removed RobertGuajardo after being made aware of his previous actions. I want to assure Tengaged that ANY acts of pedophila/inappropriate behaviour towards minors will be treated with extreme seriousness and quick action will be taken.
3. Consequences of "No Moderation"
I know a lot of people haven't taken a liking to me being appointed as a Mod, and that's understandable. A lot of people don't have any idea who i am lol, I'm not involved in any T-alliances or chats, but honestly... i think that's a good thing. I'm impartial. I have no allegiances or hardcore friendships with anyone here (which is a shame because i did used to 😭) and so my ability to moderate wont be clouded by ulterior motives/bribery from friends like previous mod teams were. The consequence of no moderation is exactly what we have seen over the last few months: games not filling because no one wants to go up against cheaters and multis, predators left to run wild, homophobes and racists chatting their bullshit over the blogs page... it's honestly kinda upsetting. This site used used to be fun and competitive, and we didn't have to worry about all of that crap because there were moderators around to police it. This website is in dire need of moderation: not strict moderation where people get banned for trivial drama, but moderation of some of the vulgar crap that people like #kyoot and #Wakiza used to splurge on the blogs page, and moderation of inappropriate behaviour like that we've seen from people like #ilysuiteheart.
So please... chill. I'm not looking to go on a banning spree and start intervening with your lives and friendship groups 😂 I'm just gonna attempt to keep a bit of peace and restore a bit of order. I know some of you might feel as if i have some strange vendetta against you from a frooks we played 5 years ago, and some people want to drudge up immature comments i made on this site when i was 16... we've grown since then. Many of us are adults and (i hope) have matured from the whiney teens we were 5-6 years ago haha. Let me also restate that any prior breaking of the rules mentioned in the blog above will not be banned for, as that would be unfair, seeing as the site has been un-moderated for so long.
4. Extending the Council
I suggested maybe holding an election to extend certain privileges to some users, that might want to help me with the job... if that is something people would like? It's completely up to you guys. You guys have the power and so if you want better representation and someone respectable that the community trusts to help me with more complex reports, i am totally down for that as well. If that's not something you'd like, that's cool too. Just let me know! I want you guys to have as much say as possible.
5. Features of the new Mod Panel
Let me make this point perfectly clear: our main priority right now is dealing with bigotry and pedophila. Randomize is currently in the process of making an automated system that punishes cheaters/multi users. The mod panel allows me to see duplicate IPs and how many IPs (different users) are accessing any one account. I've checked, and some of the people hating on me the most have at least 7 different people using their account 😂 makes you wonder why they're so against moderation :/... In terms of reporting, the new mod panel logs reports from the "Report" button found on profiles and blogs, so please use that :)!
Final Remarks:
Look, I know i'm not the perfect candidate. I've said some stupid ass shit and made questionable decisions in my 10-year stint in this place, but who hasn't? I'm gonna give it my best shot, all i'm asking for is a chance 🤞🏻Hopefully we can work together to try and make some positive changes to this site, and attempt to restore a lot of the fun that has been sucked out of it as a consequence of no/poor moderation in the past.

EDIT: as a sidenote, i have recommended to rando that we appoint another mod ( koolness234, cheapcheep?). There's a lot on here we need to tackle and that can only be done by a TEAM, not by myself solely, although i am going to try my hardest to in the meantime.
Agreed with koolness234, Rob has been exposed many times over several years so it’s suspect that you claim you’ve been active on the site but weren’t aware of the frequent allegations
