Thanos kills Gamora
Avengers Infinity War (2018)
This scene was literally flawless from the script to the acting to the visual effects. The chemistry between Josh Brolin & Zoe Saldana was INCREDIBLE and, as I said, the acting was flawless. This scene hit so hard because it was completely avoidable and tragic. Gamora knew that this was a likely outcome but she was confident she'd be able to kill her self before it got to this. Beyond that, her naiveness got the best of her when she did that monologue after Red Skull told Thanos he must sacrifice something he loves. That monologue is also one of the best lines in the movie. The scene also gave us this amazing dialogue:
Gamora: All my life I dreamed of a day, a moment, when you got what you deserved. And I was always so disappointed. But now, you kill and torture and you call it mercy. The universe has judged you. You asked it for a prize and it told you no. You failed. And do you wanna know why? Because you love nothing. No one.
[Thanos weeps]
Gamora: [scoffs] Really? Tears?
Red Skull (Stonekeeper): They are not for him.
I GET GOOSEBUMPS EVERY TIME!
