Update on lifeeee Aug 29, 2011
imageHello there people of Tengaged. Bored tonight and TG def. popped into my head and figured I would come on and write a quick update to my life.

Tengaged helped me through a lot of things in life. One of the most important things TG taught me was to be myself and be proud of who I am. Thanks to Tengaged a year ago I was capable of coming out as gay to my family and friends. And I owe a lot of people a big thank you for helping me through such a task.

Anyways, I am not sticking around. Just coming back to update some people on a big change in my life. :] A few people from TG asked me to come back on and write something soooo yeah! There you all go.

With that, I will leave you with an updated picture of myself. 20 pounds lighter and trying to get down 5 more.

Don't Ask, Don't Tell Repeal vote is tomorrow. Sep 20, 2010
imageAmerican's test of equality, strength, freedom, liberty and justice are all up for grab's tomorrow afternoon in the Senate. The House of Represntatives passed a bill REPEALING the policy of Don't Ask, Don't Tell, a law that restricts our gay, lesbian and bisexual military men and women from serving OUR country openly, and now it is the Senate's time to do the same.

Even though the vote has a solid 57 votes (all Democrats) and 2 Democrats that may, or may not, vote Yes, the citizens of the USA can still hold out hope that 3 Republicans look for what is BEST for this country and what will help EXTEND the freedom's this country was founded on. Liberty, Justice and equality FOR ALL.

Two moderate Republicans up in Maine are the brightest spots of hope for this Repeal to pass. However, it is my sad, sad duty to inform everyone that Senator Olympia Snowe has just announced a "wavering" NO vote on repeal. Leaving the equality of thousand of American's who want, or have, to serve the USA lacking the possibility to. Lady Gaga went all the way to Maine in hope of convincing these two senators that the right, and only right, thing to do for America is to pass this Bill.

As a straight American I have always been questioned on why I support gay rights so much, I mean it doesn't really effect me. WRONG. The oppression of any group of people effects us all. This country was founded on equality, liberty and justice FOR EVERYONE, EVERYONE. The fact that 100 Senators hold the future of millions of Americans in their dirty, grimy hands is unforgivable. Shameful they all are, basing their vote off of what their religion tells them and not what is told to us in our Constitution. Every last one of them should be ashamed, and as Americans we should let them know how we feel.

Stand with me on this day and make a change for America and our LGBT Family. Call your Senator TODAY on the eve of this possibly momentous, historical day. Hopefully, tomorrow we can all say AMERICA won this fight with injustice and ignorance. Hopefully, tomorrow we will all be one step closer to freedom, gays, straights and bisexuals, because when a group doesn't have equality, we all suffer from it.

This is not a blog about dissing one party or another, fact is BOTH parties are screwing a group of people who already don't have the full amount of rights. We can't allow this to happen.

I love you all. Gay, Straight, Bisexual, Transgender, Pansexual. I preach LOVE, not HATE.
