Big Brother and online Hunger games.

After this game - I'mma gettin' out of here!

Jan 22, 2009 by Nutmeg
After the Rookies game I'm in (which is pretty much on Day 7 right now) I won't enroll in another.
I'm trying to adapt a healthier lifestyle - I am not going to use the internet any more, because it's too addicting and time consuming.

I am going to divide my time outside of school into these activities ::
Playing outdoors.
Writing and painting/drawing.
And playing Video Games :p

I'm also trying to maintain a healthier diet.
I went to the doctors this morning for a check up - and while there isn't anything wrong with me (yet, doing blood tests later), the Doc suggested going outdoors more and eating healthier.

I was trying to accomplish the above anyway - but it's hard to focus on that when I keep thinking "I wonder what has happened on Tengaged", "Am I evicted", etc...

I am encouraging other computer addicts I know to try doing the same.
Because I have noticed that I don't even gain that much enjoyment from the Internet anymore - it is beginning to seem like a chore or a duty or something, yet I can spend all of my time on here.
Maybe if I stay away from the internet for a while I will find more enjoyment in other things..
Also, I'm going back to school and going to see a counsellor.

Goodluck and goodbye to everyone on Tengaged.
I might be back occasionally.... OOPS :p
But I actually hope I stay away - I have gone without using the internet for many months plenty of times before.
Thank you for reading this blog and peace! <3

I feel EXACTLY the same way you do.
I'm gonna start by taking a day off, then 2 days, etc etc.. once it's in your routine that you don't need it, you'll do something else.
But to be honest as I'm incapable of being too active, all I'll do is play on my wii, lol.
Good luck!

No point in leaving, just cut down your hours. Video games are the exact same thing just on a different screen

Surs - I WANT to leave. I don't really enjoy it any more, it's pretty pointless - it's a great site, but I get sick of things..
And video games are pure win of pwnsomeness, and it's easier for me to cut down my time on them than cut down time on The Internet.

You have to replace one addiction with another to be able to quit.. TRUE FACT... so if your new addiction is exercise or writing or whatever you stand a fighting chance.. good luck
