Tengaged can be in serious legal trouble...

6thMay 12, 2015 by OMGitsGARRET
...as many of you know, recently some controversy has been under fire on this website with multiple issues. There is no need to address a certain issue publicly because most of you know what has happened and there have been several issues, not just the most recent drama that happened. If you really don't know, mail me and I will explain to you.

Moving on, in The United States Of America, where most of the users on this website are from and there where the headquarters of this website are located, there are laws about children and the internet. It is illegal for someone to create an account and socialize through a chat-room with strangers until the age of 13, therefore the minimum age to be on this website is 13, now there are some exceptions on this law but I am not going to get into that.
On top of that, there is a law, a very serious law (that many children and teenagers break, but it is still a law) that minors (anyone under the age of 18) may not view and type of pornographic material whatsoever. Due to this law, websites and games created moderators to help moderate their community. Here at Tengaged, we have Tengaged_Moderation also known as (for at least the time being), T_MODTemp. This is not a blog bashing against moderation, I just think rules need to be much more enforced around here. For an example, DanielKennedy111's current avatar is a (presumably) naked woman with visible breasts. According to the F.C.C. (a company created to protect children's safety on the internet by the American government), this is illegal since it is technically pornography. If avatars like that are allows on Tengaged, by American law, this website has be for individuals aged 18 and older.
I understand DanielKennedy111's desire to #FreeTheNipple and I personally agree. Men and woman both have nipples, we should not be ashamed and protect other people from our own human bodies, but the government of the U.S.A. sees this in a different light.

Another issue is that people have come forward and spoken up about possible incidents of pedophilia involved in this website. If the police end up hearing about this, the United States' courts may take an investigation into this if it grows into a big problem.

With these two issues, Tengaged is at risk of shutting down, especially with the owner, randomize, seemingly not carrying.

I love this website but moderation needs to step up their game and enforce rules better. A suggestion I have is multiple moderators, a moderator team if you will.
I know this is a real life matter, but if this is happening through the Tengaged website as a third-party, they are technically involved and so is every member of the Tengaged community as a witness.

TL;DR version: Several different instances recently on Tengaged might come up as a legal situation and if thing's are not fixed and continue to spiral downward, Tengaged may shut down.

the question you open yourself up to is what constitutes porn? simply showing breasts isn't always porn. If it did, some of our greatest paintings and sculptures would be considered pornography

Utsumi, I'm just informing everyone what the U.S. government's rules are, I don't agree with them by they are the laws. :P

nudity isn't pornography. otherwise the videos you see in science and 5th grade in elementary school when you were a kid, would be illegal. And it isn't.

Very bad points. Especially the porn one. It's not even real breasts? I'm pretty sure YouTube would be illegal then since there is ACTUAL porn on it.
Nude avatars aren't even close to a big deal.
And I used to view porn all the time.
