I got 9/10 qualifiers right. I only had Malta in over Poland, but I'm glad Poland qualified.

That was seriously an amazing semi-final. Not just the songs, but I feel tonight's show was so much more organized from a production standpoint. The hosts were definitely better, as was Conchita. But the performances tonight were in fact great and I'm really happy with the qualifiers.

I swear to God I was shaking like a leaf. They would leave Latvia and Israel, my two favourites this year, for the last two qualifier spots. Talk about a relief. I was SCREAMING. I need a life. The Latvian performance surpassed my expectations, and Israel was so much fun. I can't believe none of my favourites failed this year. THIS IS THE FIRST TIME THIS HAS HAPPENED I'M NOT USED TO IT.

Sweden, Norway, Azerbaijan, Slovenia were obvious, even though I found the Slovenian performance a little awkward. But she nailed the vocal, so well done. For a second I thought Azerbaijan would miss out, but there they were. It's weird because Sweden doesn't feel like a winner as much anymore, even though they're still my pick to win.

I'm not surprised by Montenegro whatsoever. The performance was fantastic and very Zeljko, but I thought they would be at a disadvantage for being in a highly Western semi-final, but I'm not surprised they qualified after having seen that performance. On the other hand, Cyprus is one I'm not too fond of but not surprised. The whole thing gave me Tom Dice vibes.

I'm genuinely surprised Poland did qualify however. I thought Monika's vocals were shaky, even though I am pleased that we qualified because Monika is really sweet and I'm glad to see her in the finals.

As for the non-qualifiers, they weren't too surprising. Given their history, I thought Malta would have made it, but I'm not sad to see them go. Iceland was very hit or miss, but not surprised after the performance. I thought Maria was shaky and poor. I'm a little upset for Switzerland though. I thought Melanie gave a great performance, but I had predicted them as 11th place/borderline to begin with any ways. I'm also sad for Ireland but the performance left me feeling cold.
