First, Natalie tells him to be weary of Paulie because he's been acting shocked about Frank being nominated to Frank's face (when it was literally a house decision with Paulie being the main advocate for). James brushes it off as Paulie just "playing the game", which is true, but remember how Vanessa hit shit off after she found out Clay/Shelli were pretending that they had no clue Jason was being backdoored? So I don't get why Paulie gets a free pass. It's passive gameplay from James.
Secondly, Da'Vonne tells him about Nicole/Corey playing both sides (via Bridgette), and he immediately runs and tells Paulie about it, who misconstrues the information and flips it on Day as if Day is the bad guy playing both sides and actually working with Frank (as opposed to Nicole), and James doesn't even bat an eye. James had a perfect opportunity to work with Day, Natalie and even mend fences with Bridgette but runs to Paulie instead.
James clearly wants to bro-down this season, which I don't blame him for as he didn't have much success with his female allies last year but Paulie literally controls half the house, most of whom are showmances that will cut James over each other in a heartbeat. James isn't playing for any better than how he did last year. #bb18
