Following the new cast of oddballs and crazy people, characters on both sides seemed more concerned with making friends or goofing off rather than strategizing. Starting on the Cleopatra Tribe, Daisy made it her mission to say hello to everybody on the team at least once and introduce herself, which seemed to go over well at first. Beast Boy, Maya, Silver Spoon and Tails were all immediately drawn to her upbeat, spunky personality. Jessie started to boss everyone around and force them to work on the shelter and fire, but Daisy continued to playfully entertain everyone instead. Layton attempted to get everyone motivated to help out by turning the camp into a puzzle, which only baffled and annoyed everybody except for Silver Spoon and Tails. Light calmly took everything in and was busy analyzing all the players on the tribe, already calculating far in the game.
On the Antony Tribe, it was the complete opposite, as it was nothing but business. However, several different factions started to try and become the leading force of the tribe. Diamond Tiara, Jade, Peach and Rouge tried to prove that women knew how to run things better than males could, while L, Luke, Odd and Phoenix tried to show that their way was best. James and Terra were both too confused and exasperated to get into it, and ended up not doing any of the work at all and just spending time together. The more playful members of the two factions attempting to lead the tribe (Jade, Luke, Odd and Rouge) got a little out of control with their pushiness. Rouge tried to flirt with Luke and Odd to get her to do what she asked, which worked at first, until L snapped them out of it. Peach and Phoenix got into a battle of wits.
At the first immunity challenge, despite the chaos on the Antony Tribe, it wouldn't prove to matter much as they still dominated the Cleopatra Tribe and sent them to tribal council. Light, having scoped out pretty much everyone by this point, realized that the most easiest of targets at this stage would be Daisy and Layton, due to the immaturity and annoying behavior of the former, and the fact that the latter was much too nice and friendly and thus threatening. Using his evil genius to start pitting both sides of the tribe against one another, he successfully managed to get Beast Boy, Daisy, Silver Spoon and Tails on-board with voting out Layton, while getting Aelita, Jackie, Jessie and Maya to target Daisy. However, wanting to be the deciding vote himself, Light lied to Layton and said they tribe was targeting Beast Boy instead. Layton, however, was just as crafty and intelligent as Light, and could see the deception in his eyes.
At tribal council, Daisy became even more annoying as she cheerfully tried to motivate her tribe to do better at the next challenge. Jessie exploded and told her off, calling her a few choice names and saying she was too stupid to be in the game. As Daisy started to cry, Tails came to her defense and accidentally called out Layton instead for being too nice and luring all the girls in with what a gentleman he was. Light was seen as being extremely frustrated at Tails opening his mouth, while Layton calmly asked Tails a few more questions about who had told him about him luring in the females. Thankfully for Light, this was interrupted by Maya, who in turn came to Layton's defense by saying him being a nice guy wasn't an act and it's just who he was. When it came time to vote, Beast Boy, Daisy, Silver Spoon and Tails all still voted for Layton, while Aelita, Jackie, Jessie and Maya all still voted for Daisy. Realizing that he had no choice at this point but to take out Daisy to try and use Layton's intelligence as an asset to his plans. Layton, however, caught wind of the plan and sadly voted for Daisy as well. A tearful Daisy was eliminated first in a 6-4 vote over Professor Layton.

With Daisy eliminated from the Cleopatra Tribe, everyone shockingly started to calm down, despite the fact Beast Boy, Silver Spoon and Tails were all blindsided. Wanting to use this as motivating to win the next challenge, it would prove to be effective, as they bounced back up nicely after getting Daisy out and won themselves their first challenge.
