I have made 14 final 3 fasting but have only won once. Is the winner determined by a formula I am not getting or is it just luck based and I have terrible luck?

its determined by activity in that game, if your more active your chances are higher
But what does that mean? I commented in the chat a lot and the winner of my last game commented like 2 times total. And once someone didn’t even vote the entire game and didn’t comment at all and they lucked out and made final 3 and I got 3rd and they won.
But if they didn’t comment at all and got 0 pluses and still get first, that’s happened to me. I lost to an inactive and I was active the whole game once.
