Jasmine is bright, smiling and enthusiastic. Now in her second year, Jasmine returns with a new found self-assurance. She is a strong believer in doing things by the book – as she's been taught at college – and her obsession with dotting every "I" and crossing every "T" aggravates some of the more laid back members of staff. For her part, she is frustrated by their willingness to let standards slip and isn’t afraid of raising her concerns with Rachel – there's no way she's going to be tarred with their brush. Jasmine is good mates with Davina and are each other's confidantes. However, their friendship is severely tested this term as Jasmine becomes besotted with Rob, the new PE teacher, and Davina finds herself having to give Jasmine bad news about her new love.
She joined Waterloo Road an NQT in series 3, being mentored by Grantly Budgen.
In episode 14, Jasmine had issues with Michaela White. She encountered Michaela trying to intimidate a younger pupil into stealing from a car, Michaela claimed that Jasmine had "battered" her in the corridor when really, Michaela asked her friend to punch her face so that she can make out it was Jasmine. Miss Mason looked at the situation and under regulations had to suspend Jasmine until further notice. In Episode 15, there was a governors meeting discussing this situation with a number of governors, Mr White (Michaela's father), Michaela, Miss Mason and Mr Lawson present. Jasmine - who turned up late to the meeting - met Michaela's friends on the school grounds. The one who punched Michaela under her orders admitted it to her. Miss Koreshi came into the meeting said her piece and handed her notice to Rachel and the governors. However, she announced her intention to return to the school after Michaela finally confessed to lying about the assault.
In the first episode of Series 4, Jasmine was immediately attracted to new P.E. teacher, Rob Cleaver. She also now manages the girls football team. However, in Episode 10, Janeece Bryant informs her that Rob had been giving Bolton Smilie drugs and when Rob is expelled she stays with the school, rather than leave with him, thus ending their relationship.
