FromAWindow - Let me just say one more time that I actually didn’t really have a “bad” song to point out this round so I have to go based on other criteria. That being said, Sufjan’s music in general for me is hard to get into because it tends to be more low key and I tend to prefer a more dynamic sound. Good song, but the energy was one of the lower ones in the lineup.
Currents - When you said that you were going to switch to Erika De Casier, I almost yelled. I LOVE this song, it’s been in my rotation since I saw it was released. There’s just something so effortless and cool in it, and I love the melody of the verses right before it goes into the chorus.
Insanity - Well idk if you got it from the last critiques but yeah… I don’t dislike Erika’s music but I think she also tends to be a little less energy than I like in a song. And especially in this lineup she just wasn’t as memorable for me.
MISSImogen - BOP please bop. I already thought the song was good, but something about the chorus really spoke to me and helped push it over the edge from some other songs I was considering putting in the top.
camell22 - This was a fun surprise for me! I wasn’t sure what to expect but I actually really enjoyed the vocal. And the mix of the background is great, it really gives it room to breathe. I enjoy a surprise so I’m excited to see what you can bring next.
mathboy9 - Honestly it was a bop like 80% of the song, but I did have an issue with it. The melody for the “Vou fazer o P, fazer o P, fazer o P, vou” part was kind of grating to me? Which sucked cause genuinely the rest of the song was actually pretty good. Sadly this is like… the only part of any song I didn’t like this round so it drug you down.
