From a British singer-songwriter and actress. Before singing, she was an assistant at a lingerie shop and a magician’s assistant! This song became her highest-charting single in the UK to date.
♫ Only Love Can Hurt Like This by Paloma Faith ♫
So I think it's pretty clear that this is her year for me. After I listened to "Changing" I soon looked up her other stuffs and completely amazed. How hadn't I heard her before? I really appreciate her unique, retro and eccentric style that is rarely found nowadays. There are some singers who I think became her followers, but failed miserably. The song has been described as a Motown-influenced sixties-style ballad. The instrumentation is wonderful, it brings us to a musical journey. It features brass section, strings and slow but strong drum beat. And her voice is absolutely fantastic, in this song she didn't just go with her usual lower note, but went to a higher pitch which was phenomenal. I love just everything about this song.
Thanks to everyone who has been following my blogs, I really appreciate that and I'm glad I could share my music interest to you all. Happy New Year! Here to another great year of music!
