Just got back from The Super Mario Bros. Movie and ahhhhhhhhhhh it was so much fun!!! The movie isn't perfect but it sticks the landing. It's full of Mario and Nintendo reference and I had too stop myself from pointing at the screen. The kids in my showing did that from me.
Love that the movie doesn't feel like it was embarrassed by its own franchise. The game elements are explained well enough and work within its own universe. Even the platforming and Mario Kart elements work super well.
Shocked by how well Chris Prat does slip into the roll. There are some werid line delivery but you're not going be annoyed by his Mario voice. Along with the rest of the main cast. Charlie Day makes for a amazing Luigi. He nails his cowardly but loveable attitude. Seth Rogan's DK got a huge laugh out of me.
100% Bowser does still the show. Jack Black crushes the roll. Bowser is such a loveable dork that can go from Intimidating to absolutely hilarious. Yes he does get a song. Its great peaches all around for King Koopa 🍑 ❤️🍑
The movie will not change your life or anything but it's hella fun. Had a huge smile on my face the whole time.
