I read the question wrong. The Industry would lose at of Nintendo Fans lol! which is a lot of people. It would be okay through. I mean a lot of people don't play Nintendo. so it would be all shooters and sony and ms stuff.
Tbh many many people consider Nintendo to be a little kids gaming system... Most of their advertised games are targeted at younger kids... I only know one person that owns a Nintendo and she's a 7-year-old girl.
Didn't nintendo revitalize the gaming industry back in 83?
I'm sure if it weren't for them it would've taken way longer to bring the gaming industry back and by that time lots of games we know now wouldn't exist/ would be way different.
You're right, Queenisha.
And while Microsoft are now the revolutionary ones with the Kinect technology, it was based on the Wii from Nintendo. Legend_of_Link I don't think we're close to losing Nintendo yet! The Wii U is actually the second flop system Nintendo have made.
But you know what?
When Nintendo bounce back, they bounce back! Thanks to Mario Kart & Zelda, the Wii Us are selling. But they're making most their money right now from the 3DS sales, so they're okay and will be for a while. :P
The handheld industry would plummet because the 3DS doesn't really have a viable competitor and it would leave that section wide open without a driving seller.
As far as consoles go, Nintendo sells but really isn't that big of a player. Microsoft/Sony are the powerhouses with development and system power so it's not like the Wii U would be missed.
Overall the casual gaming market would suffer but the legitimate gaming market would be fine since they all play on Playstations or Xboxs already
