I live in Red State so in States like this the Government doesn't care about people that make below then $40,000 year. So when you even bring up the idea of raising the minimum wage. The whole states gets pissed off. I don't know about you but I'm student that is living on my own in small apartment. $7.25hr is enough to just barely to keep my lights on. It's awful I'm lucky if I have money to get food once a month. The age old feedback is just get a better job. Which is true I can get a better job mostly a factory job. The only issues is I don't not have any qualifications to work in place like that. I applied to work at Amazon, UBPS,FedEx and they all rejected me. So I'm stuck with this shitty as money every 2 weeks of around $200 and sometimes even less. I know people hate this but the minimum wage is awful. It needs to be raised to at least $10.
