"well son one day i was twice the age of your mother but a year later i was 1.5 years older"

the dad is 44 years old. how old is the mother

the dad is 44 and the mum is 43, this is an age difference of 1. when the dad was 2 years old the mum was 1. when the dad was 3 years old a year later the mum was 2
