At first glance, these two were just another fun blonde pair with sense of humor. But wat made them amazing is their story arch. it is pure perfection. They were originally estranged sisters, and came on the race to continue to build their relationship back up. Mel was the bossy, dominant sister who openly admitted how she was not impressed by Alana's weakness during the race. Along the race they continued to be goddesses, and beat their enemies richard and joey among other things. Them taking the potty break at the intersection < 3
Their best moment was in their last episode. In the physical detour of carrying the princess, Mel had all but given up, but Alana would not have it. Alana never lost hope and pushed Mel to continue. It was an utterly complete story arch, and in the end she impressed her sister and showed a side of herself that Mel had never seen before. Although they went out too early and followed the horrid boot order of TAR AUS 1, they were queens and their edit was among my favorites in amazing race history.
