I had extremely low expectations for this season of amazing race. The combination of a lower number of teams and the course only being within Canada seemed to be setting up for a beyond lame and predictable season. Boy was I wrong. the course and tasks were surprisingly innovative and some hidden gems, Vanessa and Celina, appeared as diamonds in the rough.
At first, they seemed liked a typical cannon fodder F/F team with utr editing before their inevitable early boot resulting from some typical mistakes. However, their edit quickly picked up and they became some of the best underdogs in recent TAR history. And even though they seemed to always be in the back of the pack, they always managed to always get 4th/5th. Its crazy how consistent they were.
However they had such amazing moments. Them not knowing how to drive stick shift < 3 (classic tar incompetence xD) Them constantly laughing at the Tims saying they were always ahead of them < 3
and ofc my favorite sequence: We are shown the tims searching for a taxi, then they find one and start towards it. All of a sudden the scene changes to Vanessa and Celina finding the taxi and setting them up for them to get burned. Then they randomly cross the street and get the taxi. I was cackling from my computer screen watching the tim's scowl in dissapointment. Then the scene changed to Celina and Vanessa cackling like fucking witches. it had me dying.
