how BBUS twists (recently) have made the game MORE predictable and boring when in theory the purpose of twists are to shake things up and provide TWISTS and turns in the game and be somewhat surprising.
bb12: the saboteur had no impact whatsoever on the game and was pegged week 1.
bb13: a veteran alliance was made for them + grodner's box.
bb14: the veterans entered the game which all the houseguests saw coming
bb15: elissa won mvp every single week which all the houseguests saw coming (this one did shake up the game ill admit but only because the houseguests were able to take advantage of how predictable the twist was)
bb16: battle of the block killed all chances from the minority alliance. when derrick started to want to target frankie, team grodner happened
bb17: battle of the block was back and started killing the season until it was scrapped, the original twist of the season was scrapped by week 2 like 90% of big brother twists #shocker, and the twin twist was discovered early on.
like i cant even remember the last time i have thoroughly enjoyed a bbus twist and what it provided to the game in terms of providing unpredictability to the game in a unique way. bb11 cliques i guess? #rantover

battle of the block sounds so good on paper, but on practice all it does is having to backdoor someone every week so it kind of gets old and the comps are usually just like "lol yeah we are throwing for the HoH so X person gets backdoored"
